Work Text:

A year ago, Izzy would sooner scrape barnacles off the side of the ship than dig through Stede's stupid frilly closet with him and Ed. But now, as he sat on one of the fluffy little chairs, Izzy's heart swelled at every dress Ed modelled.

"What about this one?" She asked, lifting the skirts of her pale blue dress gown.

"It's gorgeous," Izzy replied, the same response he had to every dress.

"You said that about the last five dresses," Ed pointed out, slowly spinning around.

Izzy got to his feet and took her hands in his own. "Because you look incredible in everything, Ed."

Stede came out of the closet with a dress wrapped in paper in his arms. "While I'll agree with that, I think she wants you to expound upon that observation, Izzy."

Izzy rolled his eyes before turning back to Ed. "I liked the purple and green dresses best with your skin but the black one made your chest look great."

Ed looked away but Izzy could see the smile on her face. "You think so?"

"Absolutely," he promised, pressing a kiss to the juncture between Ed's jawline and ear. "And the blue makes you look like a mermaid."

"He's right, dear, you look absolutely ethereal," Stede agreed, the paper in his arms crinkling. "Now then, this next dress I had specifically tailored for you and I'd love to see how it looks."

Izzy smiled as Stede and Ed disappeared back into the closet, happily giggling about fashion and dresses. He didn't give a shit about clothes; they were only something to hide his tits from the world, but it made Izzy happy to see his lovers sharing their interests.

Ed deserved someone to help her feel like a woman, the way she helped Izzy feel like a man all those years ago before she realized she wasn't one herself. She deserved softness and fine things and all the pretty dresses she could dream of having.

"Oh, Stede!" Ed squeaked from inside the secret closet. "It's- oh, it's lovely!"

"Isn't it just?" Stede insisted happily. "And feel it, it's absolutely exquisite!"

A minute later, the door opened to reveal Ed's latest dress and oh shit, the dress.

It wasn't as extravagant as the other dresses but the red silk was gorgeous. It hugged her body in all the right places, giving Ed curves that Izzy had never noticed before. The dress was tight enough that it accentuated Ed's waist but with a full skirt that hid her more masculine body parts. The neckline wasn't as deep as it was on the purple dress and the sleeves hid her elbows but it was by far the most sensual dress Ed had tried on.

Izzy opened his mouth, said nothing and closed it again. "Wow," he finally choked out, walking around Ed to take in every inch of her.

"You like it?" She asked, lifting her skirts and spinning around.

"How could he not? You look absolutely heavenly," Stede cooed, running his hands over her sleeves.

Unable to form the words to describe how beautiful Ed was, Izzy instead pulled her into a kiss. She eagerly kissed back, twisting her hands into Izzy's hair and pulling him closer.

"You're so fucking beautiful," Izzy gasped after finally pulling away to catch his breath.

"Just incredible," Stede murmured against Ed's neck as he wrapped his arms around their waist from behind. He pressed a kiss to the side of Ed's neck, getting a happy hum in response.

"Thank you, both of you," Ed whispered, pressing her forehead against Izzy's and squeezing Stede's hands.

"Anything for you, my darling," Stede promised, squeezing her hands back.

They stood there, basking in the happiness of each other's presence. For once, Izzy wasn't worried about anything as he leaned his head against Ed's shoulder. Stede pressed a kiss to his forehead, earning a smile in response. It was just them- just Ed, just Stede, and just Izzy. Nothing else mattered.

Nothing except Ed and Stede.
