“It’s raining.”
“Yes, and?”
Did John not understand? Niccolò glared pointedly at the water that was simply pouring down the windows.
He tried again. “You will drown if you go outside. Especially with your lack of self-preservation.”
“I’ll be fine. You worry too much, Niccolò. Call Nick if you’re so worried. I’m sure he’ll have a solution to something or other,” he answered with a roll of his eyes. “Really, I’ll be fine. It’s not like Bastet’s going outside in this weather.”
He glared even more at his husband. “Maybe not Bastet, but there are Elders who will. Please, John.”
