Work Text:

Yunho is suddenly stopped when a hand grabs his wrist. He turns to see why his path has been stopped, and tilts his head after meeting a brownish gaze decorated with black lines and silver details.

“Your voice is so pretty,” Wooyoung expresses, widening his eyes, seeming to want his words to be understood. His voice is loud enough to be heard above the murmur caused by the people around him as well as the music.

Surprise is what Yunho would have allowed to invade him if he hadn't seen Wooyoung drink throughout the party. It's not over yet and he thinks it’s far from it, since Dionysus' cabin's parties aren't exactly known for ending early. The clumsiness that accompanies the smile that is offered to him is a mere consequence of the excess of wine.

He is aware that they are both friends of Yeosang, Wooyoung maybe even more, Yunho thinks, but instead of focusing on that detail, he chooses to hold a smile as honest as it is false when he listens to his words. It's an honest gesture because he accepts the compliment. Fake because Wooyoung is usually not all that friendly with him, and besides, he doesn't think Wooyoung will remember that exchange of words tomorrow.

“Thank you.” He gently frees himself from his grasp.

“And the way you dance.” Wooyoung doesn't seem to notice the sudden awkwardness he has created between them. Yunho doesn't try to get away from him. Wooyoung brings a hand to his own chest and closes his eyes for a second before opening them again. “Amazing.”

Yunho holds a somewhat forced smile, not knowing what to say.

The compliments regarding his voice and his dance is something that he often hears, words that he is also used to expressing after belonging to the cabin that is characterized by not being silent. He believes that while that could also be said about Dionysus' cabin, the one he is currently in, that cabin is silent when the parties are finally over and exhaustion falls on the bodies. In his cabin, there is always some music playing in the background no matter what time of day or night it is.

He part his lips but someone speaks before him.

“Sorry, he's drunk.” San appears from behind Wooyoung to put one of his arms around his shoulders, both of them seeing the way Wooyoung instantly wraps both arms around his waist so that his head is close to his neck, his amused smile, toning itself into a calm gesture. “I agree, though,” San adds along with a smile.

“Thanks!” Yunho gives him a wide smile.

He thinks it's certainly ironic, the way with Wooyoung he only manages to hold a short smile while he doesn't hesitate to give San a nice smiling gesture.

He should be a close person to Wooyoung considering they both have close relationships with Yeosang, but he has chosen to stay somewhat away from Wooyoung because the serious looks he sends his way are not completely subtle. He doesn't remember doing anything wrong to upset him, but he also doesn't twist his mind thinking what could be the cause of Wooyoung's reluctant attitude towards him.

With San the opposite should happen. That night is the first time they have established more words than those involved in some training or competition. He has seen the way some of his half-siblings as well as other people have rested their curious gazes on the cabin doors when Wooyoung and San had appeared together. Yunho doesn’t deny that he was also surprised, more than the others after being sure that Yeosang and Wooyoung are more than friends; but at the same time he knows that Yeosang and Wooyoung have never been characterized by always focusing on the same person for long, at least not when it comes to relationships.

Although he doesn’t consider himself a perfect person, he doesn’t like it when tension is created by conjectural thoughts, much less when that discomfort threatens to ruin the atmosphere of a Dionysus' cabin's party, and for the same reason he had chosen to approach San after watching him dancing to the music, alone and near a corner.

“I like the way you dance,” Yunho adds.

Perhaps it's true that he doesn’t belong to Dionysus' cabin and that he should only focus on himself instead of making sure that as many people as possible have a good night, but he believes that two reasons lead him to pay attention to what happens around him. The first one is that Mingi does belong to that cabin, and as such, he wants the parties organized by the children of Dionysus to continue to be considered the best, and the second one is that just as he doesn’t think he's a perfect person, he doesn't think he is bad either.

“Thank you.” San gives him a big smile.

“You can come to my cabin one day and we can dance too.” He doesn't doubt that some of his half-siblings will probably look at him strangely for holding a relationship with someone who belongs to Hades' cabin, but he doesn't hesitate to express those words. If there are people who should understand what it is to be close to death, they are as children of Apollo.

“Yes, I would like that.”

“Me too, I also want to be invited,” suddenly both he and San rest their eyes on Wooyoung when he seems to straighten up to switch his gaze —somewhat narrowed by the effects of alcohol— between them. Wooyoung looks at him. “I feel so bad for badmouthing you, Sangie was right and you're nice.”

Yunho only chooses to raise both eyebrows at those words.

San forms a line with his lips before taking advantage of one of his arms being over Wooyoung's shoulders to pat his shoulder with his hand. “Come on Woo, for now just enjoy the party,” he tells him. Wooyoung seems interested in the proposal as he nods his head to the beat of the music. San gives him a short smile indicating to forgive Wooyoung on his behalf, and Yunho mimics his gesture before walking away from them.

He doesn't think he's offended by Wooyoung's words. He's usually used to people approaching him with smiles on their faces and friendly attitudes, so hearing that not exactly all people think he's nice leads him to remember that while his smile is described as warm, and his personality as cheerful, he will never be able to please everyone, and he thinks he's okay with it.

In the end Wooyoung has said that he finds him nice, anyway, and for the same reason Yunho keeps a smile on his face until he takes a look around him and it begins to leave his face once he doesn't find Mingi. He had been looking for him before being stopped by Wooyoung. He forms a line with his lips. After being the hosts of the party, all the children of Dionysus are usually in the center of the party, so Mingi's absence doesn’t indicate a good thing to him.

He chooses to move away from the people who are dancing around him, and tries to ignore the music that continues to play as well as the exchange of words between the people present. He knows that if he concentrates hard enough, he'll be able to find Mingi without needing to go all the way around the cabin, so he exhales a short breath, keeping his eyes on the ground so he won't be distracted.

He feels the rhythm of the music but quickly separates it between the different instruments that make up the song. Silence decorates his ears though he continues to find himself at the party, and he narrows his gaze as a pulse that barely brushes his ears catches his attention. It continues to grow, both in volume and speed, and he finally looks up after recognizing Mingi's rapid heartbeat.

He goes through the doors that lead to the outside of the cabin, the one that at that moment gives him the image of the dark forest. Although they are used to training and taking part in competitions between the trees that make up the same, at night it provides a different image, one in which Yunho chooses not to focus. Fortunately, another detail quickly catches his eye.

He finds Mingi sitting on one of the round purple stools that they have chosen to leave there so people can get some fresh air if they need it. Usually everyone takes advantage of the parties organized by the children of Dionysus to enjoy the music and the festive atmosphere, so he is not surprised that no one else is outside. He doesn’t hesitate to approach him, and notices that Mingi finds himself with his back leaning forward as well as his head down after keeping one of his elbows on his thigh as well as his cheek against the palm of his hand. To anyone he would appear to be resting, but Yunho is aware of his rapid heart rate, so he carefully crouches down in front of him.

“Here you are,” he keeps his tone calm as he raises both eyebrows at the sunglasses Mingi is wearing. He tilts his head, noting the orange color of them as well as the black oval shape of those with two sides. “Sunglasses are for the day, you won't see anything with that,” he tells him along with an amused smile, wearing sunglasses is a foreign concept for him since the sun doesn't make him close his eyes.

Mingi lifts his head after barely hearing him and slides his glasses up to allow them to rest on his dark blonde locks. Yunho stops smiling as soon as Mingi's bright purple pupils are left on him. That eye color instead of brown is never a good sign.

“Stay away from me,” Mingi expresses almost in a sigh.

Instead of being upset by the presence of that color of eyes and the words heard, Yunho chooses to sit in front of him, finally managing to establish a connection between Mingi's absence at the party as well as the rapid beating of his heart. He doesn't deny that the color of his pupils make him uneasy, nor that those words aren't pleasant to hear, but he doesn't decide to go back to the party.

“Not happening,” he determines. Mingi tilts his head, and Yunho exhales a short breath, not paying attention to the way he feels his own heart race at the sudden —though not new— situation he finds himself in. “This,” keeping his hands as stable as possible, he guides them towards Mingi's head until his fingers rest on the frame of his sunglasses. “Belongs to me.”

He stares at Mingi, not looking away when Mingi watches him with his bright purple pupils. Yunho swallows hard, but allows his shoulders to loosen up after Mingi makes no sudden moves as he removes the glasses from his head. When the purple color replaces the brown color of his pupils, sometimes his wrist gets caught when he tries to establish physical contact, but at that time Mingi just continues to stare at him. Yunho puts his sunglasses down next to them without breaking eye contact.

Fortunately, he can't remember when the last time he met those eyes was, but a part of him worries because it usually happens at other kinds of times, not in the middle of a party, in an environment where Mingi is supposed to feel more than comfortable, familiar with the details around him. Mingi is vulnerable though his gaze indicates strength. He knows that his presence also denotes a complete lack of security, as he is not sure how Mingi will react, but he takes his stillness as a good sign.

“Remember that orange juice song you told me about recently?” he chooses to ask. Mingi doesn't shake or nod his head but he continues talking anyway. “It’s very creative.”

He looks down to notice that Mingi has left his hands on his thighs. He looks back at him as he slowly moves one of his hands toward his. Carefully, not wanting his movements to be taken as a threat, he moves his hand closer to his. He stands still as Mingi forms a fist with it, but no other part of his body moves and his eyes stay focused on him instead of lowering their attention to his hand, so he moves his hand again, and finally leaves it on his.

Staring at Mingi, he begins to hum the aforementioned song. He remembers Mingi telling him about it with an amused yet embarrassed smile on his face, himself mentioning that he doesn't doubt that he thinks it's a silly tune while Yunho assures him that no song is a waste of time.

He feels Mingi's hand relax under his touch, and continues to hum the melody, this time with the beginning of a smile on his face. Mingi continues to stare at him, not smiling or moving a muscle on his face, but relaxing his hand under his is the only indication that both his touch and the humming of the song are getting the desired effects.

Mingi's hand finally soften on his thigh again, and Yunho stops humming to let out a breath of relief. He gives him a friendly smile though he doesn't get one in return.

“What do you think about coming back to me, mh?” he proposes.

As soon as he voices that question he opts to take Mingi's hand in his instead of just keeping his on it. Mingi blinks, once, twice, three times, until the purple color in his eyes seems to break. Soon the usual brown of his pupils becomes present, but Yunho doesn't get a chance to look at it because Mingi lowers his head. Yunho lets out a silent sigh, relieved that the purple color has faded, and gives his hand a light squeeze as he notices that Mingi continues to keep his head down.

Mingi seems to notice that their hands are together as he rests his eyes on them, but he promptly looks up at the same time he pulls his hand away from his. Instead of getting annoyed by this sudden action, Yunho stares at him when his eyes finally meet brown pupils. Although he doesn't like it when Mingi is completely serious, he doesn't like the expression of surprise mixed with concern that characterizes him at that moment.

“Did I hurt you?” Mingi asks him.

Even if Yunho is used to hearing that question over and over again, it doesn't stop hurting because he recognizes the restlessness that accompanies it. Mingi feels guilty even though he shows himself to him, he is in front of him, free of any evidence that could show an injury.

“No,” Yunho assures him.

Though Mingi has retracted his hand, he reaches for it again anyway, and this time he doesn't mind when Mingi looks down to rest his eyes on their hands. Fortunately Mingi adds his other hand, and Yunho allows himself to relax a bit after focusing for a few seconds and feeling the way Mingi’s heart rate slows.

The music of the party is heard from where they are as well as the particular murmur produced by the beginning of the forest in front of them. But Yunho doesn't take his attention away from Mingi. He notices Mingi swallowing hard, but quickly looks down at their hands to see Mingi stroking the ring that features on one of his fingers with his thumb.

“I like your ring,” Mingi comments, this time sounding calmer.

Yunho holds a small smile at the sight of the sun-shaped golden ring. It matches with the golden chain that also has a sun, imposing itself on the white color of the sweater that he is wearing, which also matches his yellow pants and sneakers. He thinks it's kind of funny the way they unconsciously seek to keep their ancestry evident, since just like him, Mingi honors his roots by wearing a purple shirt while some thin chains decorate his neck and pants with different patches complement his outfit.

“Thank you, Yeosang gave it to me.”

“I haven't seen him.”

“Last time he told me that he was going to Ares' cabin. I haven't seen him since. I won't ask any questions about it,” he tells him along with an amused smile, and he's glad to hear the small laugh Mingi allows to leave his lips. Mingi chooses to continue focusing on their hands, since he stops focusing on his ring to caress his hand with his thumb. Yunho switches his gaze between him and that gesture, until he decides to copy him and take advantage of the union of their hands to offer him a caress. “Are you feeling better?”

The fact that his eyes are now brown and that his racing heart rate has slowed down are signs that he's probably better now, but he decides to ask that question anyway. However, he doesn't get what he expected because Mingi raises his head, but not to answer.

“You should be enjoying the party,” he comments.

“I am enjoying it,” Yunho assures him. “I'm having a good night,” he doesn't hesitate to add although a part of him is always alert when Mingi's purple pupils decide to become present. He tends to stay even more attentive to Mingi when that happens, but it doesn't change the fact that he doesn't think he's having a bad night.

“You are weakest at night and you get up early.”

“I wouldn't miss a Dionysus' cabin's party for anything in the world.” Yunho offers him a big smile, satisfied with himself after seeing the smile that decorates Mingi's face.

Perhaps the words that Mingi expresses are true, since he certainly feels stronger and more energetic the earlier it is, and for the same reason getting up early is a habit rather than an effort, but the trace of tiredness that follows him when he attends a party won't stop him from going to Dionysus' cabin.

“You tend to forget that I also like music, that my cabin is not exactly silent,” he also likes to attend the parties at Mingi's cabin because those usually ask them for help with the music. That alliance has allowed them to get closer to each other, and in addition, the constant melodies of different songs, keeps him distracted from the tiredness that seeks to hug him every time the sun leaves the sky. “Between being there by myself and here with you, I'd rather be here.”

Mingi hums instead of saying a word. He seems to be thinking about his words, since he again chooses to look down at their hands. Yunho keeps a calm smile on his face, thinking that the image of their hands is as calming to him as it is to Mingi.

Physical contact between them is not a rarity, much less since Yunho has understood that he is the one who can help Mingi when that part that leads him to have purple pupils, decides to become present. He is not afraid of Mingi. Although most people think of him and the rest of Apollo's children as walking suns, they are aware that their father is not only known for guiding the light. Perhaps his hair is blonde and his smile brings conformity, but he is more than that.

“Thank you for helping me,” Mingi expresses.

Although Yunho chooses to give him a smile that Mingi doesn't see because he continues to stare at their hands, he promptly allows it to leave his face. Mingi's purple pupils usually appear in other kinds of moments, when silence decorates the environment, so he doesn't know how to take the fact that they have chosen to appear in the middle of a party, a situation where Mingi should feel more than comfortable, happy enough and distracted enough not to allow his other self to surface.

“Did something trigger you?” He decides to ask him.

It's true that Mingi usually feels comfortable at parties organized by his own cabin, but it's also true that perhaps the accumulation of people has managed to activate the other part of him.

He looks at him, a little curious when Mingi lets out a chuckle that's as fake as it is honest, as if he's embarrassed to have to say the next few words.

“I saw you... dancing with San...” Mingi seems to deliberately avoid his gaze until he allows their eyes to meet, and Yunho holds back the beginning of a small smile. He hadn't expected to hear those words, but he's glad nothing serious enough has happened to make Mingi feel that way. “I was thinking, what if he tries to hurt you? What would I do to stop him? The idea of control, of controlling someone, appeared. I came out for some air.”

Yunho doesn't know what to think. Neither his nor Mingi's ears remain oblivious to the rumors that surround all cabins in one way or another, so they are aware of what is being whispered about San. He has also been a bit skeptical when he saw San entering the cabin, but after seeing him clearly wanting to dance and not getting excited, and then dancing with him, he has understood that again it isn't a good idea to pay attention to the words that reach his ears. Mingi expresses seeing them dance, and his jealousy —jealousy? Yunho finds no other word— has led him to leave the party.

“He's really nice,” he chooses to express. He doesn't know what to think about the fact that he somehow caused Mingi to feel like he should get some fresh air. He's glad nothing serious has happened, and that Mingi cares about him, but he doesn't want Mingi to have to leave the party just because of him. “Wooyoung too,” he adds.

“Yes they are.”

He believes that Mingi probably feels guilty because he has allowed his feelings for him to lead him to be outside. Yunho finds it strange to refer to Mingi's emotions in such a way, but he doesn't know how else to explain the fact that he has chosen to leave the party out of jealousy —unsettled, perhaps. He doesn't hesitate to give him a smile when Mingi looks at him.

“It was nice of you to let San join in.” he says.

“I saw him admiring the plants and he said that his die all the time,” Yunho lets out a small laugh upon listening to him as well as imagining San admiring the plants that surround most of the Dionysus' cabin, and Mingi looking at San. “I like the music that you and the others chose for tonight.”

“Well, of course, we have to take some credit for these amazing parties.”

Yunho maintains an amused as well as somewhat proud smile. They are often characterized as the earliest risers as well as the first to go to sleep because they feel more active with the first rays of sun in the morning, but they constantly prove that they also have fun at night even though their favorite part of the day is the morning; after providing the music for the parties organized by the Dionysus' cabin. It's a fun alliance.

Mingi smiles but soon returns to hold a neutral expression.

“I wish you could enjoy it instead of being here with me.”

He believes that Mingi more than anyone should understand that a party is not only based on listening to music and dancing to its rhythm, that it's possible to enjoy the night doing more than that.

“I enjoy spending time with you,” for him, the best moments of the party are not those in which he allows the taste of wine to wet his lips or when he listens to his favorite song, but when he sees Mingi holding a smile as he assures him that he has drunk the best bottle of wine in the cabin, or when Mingi dances with him.

Just as he could be distracted by the presence of his half-siblings to dance with them, Mingi could choose to spend the night along with his half-siblings. And yet, at that moment, both are together.

“Even when I'm like this?” Mingi asks him.

“I like all of your parts, Mingi.” Yunho gives his hand a light squeeze. Mingi's hands have never let go of his. It doesn't bother him. “We're not that different, you know,” he reminds him.

“You are good and nice.”

“And so are you,” Yunho assures him, this time more seriously.

“Not when I have this constant drive for madness.”

Mingi's tone of voice is replaced by a serious tone at the same time that he stops holding his hand with both of his to point to himself, the purple color becoming present in the pupils of his eyes.

Yunho is not distracted by the sudden presence of that color nor by the fact that their hands have stopped being together. He chooses to kneel so that their faces are at the same height.

“If there is health, there is disease. If there is healing, there are plagues. If there is life, there is death.” Yunho blinks and has no doubt that at that moment the dark brown of his eyes has also been replaced by another color, although unlike Mingi, his have a yellow hue, “Don't put me on a pedestal I don't want to climb. We both struggle and that's why we have each other, that's why we trust each other.”

The two are different but also similar. Both have parents whose characteristics considered peaceful or fun by others are highlighted while those that are preferable to forget remain left aside. Dionysus is the god of wine as well as madness, but people only talk about his parties. Apollo is the god of the sun as well as of diseases, and only the light of his stories is spoken of instead of the prayers expressed for the plagues to stop. Yunho knows how Mingi feels, and he doesn't like that Mingi puts himself down or believes that he is a pure person. He doesn’t consider himself as such.

He stares at Mingi, facing his purple color with the help of the hue of his yellow eyes. Where people see nothing but good wine and fun nights, Yunho knows that there are fights, parts of the same person facing each other because it's easy to let darker parts appear. A dangerous side, a side that not everyone accepts. He doesn't look away until he watches Mingi's purple fade to the intensity of his yellow, and he too blinks until his eyes return to its usual color.

As soon as the sudden confrontation between them ends, Yunho sits down again to later approach him and rest his arms on his lap to then leave one of his cheeks on them. He doesn't like it when tension interrupts them, but he doesn't think it's fair for Mingi to talk bad about himself and good about him when they're both alike no matter who their parents are.

He allows a smile to replace his serious expression after feeling Mingi's fingers slide through his blond locks instead of pulling away.

“You are a morning person while I'm a night person,” he hears him say.

“And yet, how many sunrises and sunsets have we watched together?” he chooses to remind him. “How many times have I come here to help you clean the cabin after a party because I got up early and how many times have you come to my cabin to wish me good night before starting a party?”

They must meet at midpoints to allow closeness between them. He thinks that right then he could fall asleep, with his arms and head on Mingi's lap as Mingi strokes his hair, but he chooses to stay awake because he likes being with Mingi. He wants to believe that the same thing happens with Mingi when he chooses to have breakfast with him sometimes, taking advantage of the fact that he is already up while he hasn't slept yet, to spend a few minutes together before Mingi goes to sleep and he starts his day.

“We really complement each other, huh.”

Despite the comfort, he chooses not to be on Mingi's lap and sits up to give him a smile, pleased to hear that Mingi also accepts the balance they create between them.

“Yes, exactly.” He nods, thinking of the bowls of grapes he usually finds near his pillow when he comes back to his cabin as well as the way he tends to guide the light the other way when Mingi sometimes falls asleep without planning to. “What are you thinking?” he asks, noticing the small smile on Mingi's face.

“How lucky I am to have you.”

Yunho closes his eyes for a few seconds, as he keeps a happy smile on his face after Mingi leans towards him to rest his hand on his neck as well as his forehead on his. He likes to hear that Mingi feels safer when he's around, but he also wants to reassure him that the same is true viceversa.

“I'm the lucky one.”

Mingi smiles upon hearing him. Yunho misses the closeness when Mingi pulls away, letting go of his hand on the back of his neck as well as his forehead on his. He tilts his head, looking up at him when Mingi lets out a short sigh.

“When one of us is upset,” he says, referring to the other children of Dionysus. “The others can notice it, we can feel it. That's why I've come here. Between the music and the drunkenness, they can't feel what's going on here.” he brings a hand to his chest to rest it on his heart.

“Different burdens will always hunt us, and it's up to us to share those burdens so that they lighten and we are able to overcome them,” Yunho rests his hand on his. He thinks it's a nice gesture for Mingi to separate himself from the rest so the others can't feel his emotions, but he doesn't like that he has to do it alone. “You don't need to hide anything from me.”

“What if I hurt you one day?”

“You won't.” Yunho replies.

“How can you be so sure?” Mingi insists.

There has never been any kind of incident between them. Yunho can remember the first time Mingi's purple pupils became present with him at his side. He had been afraid. He had felt helpless in the face of uncertainty, as well as worried after not knowing how to help Mingi so that he could calm down again and wear the usual brown color of his eyes; until he realized that just like him, Mingi also has his insecurities, and that being scared is a waste of time after being sure that Mingi would never hurt him.

“Because you care about me the same way I care about you,” he decides to voice his thoughts out loud. He's not afraid of Mingi, and he wants Mingi to stop being afraid of himself. “Those parts of us that assure us that we are bad people have to deal with the other parts of us that remind us that we are good people.”

Sometimes he also gets carried away with his own thoughts. He doesn't know whether to consider the fact that while the children of other gods are often the target of rumors solely for the portrayal of their parents to be fortune or unfair, people usually tend to focus on the positive aspects of what it means to be a child of Apollo. He knows what he is capable of doing, what abilities he possesses and for what reasons he uses them. He is not a pure person.

“It was nice hearing you hum the orange juice song.”

Yunho holds a smile upon hearing Mingi's words, remaining calm because once again he understands that although Mingi may not seem like himself when his eyes turn purple, his central part is still present, ready to pay attention to him and thus be able to free himself from the trance that imprisons him.

“You should do a wine version,” he says, still smiling when Mingi chuckles.

He believes that it has been easy for both of them to approach each other, to become close not only because they like music and it’s easy to make each other laugh, but because little by little, they are beginning to trust each other to allow the other to see parts of oneself that are not visible to other people. Their struggles unite them as well as the liking for dance and songs.

Yunho rests his gaze on his hands, the same ones still resting on Mingi's heart, and smiles before looking away from it to him.

“Do you want to go inside?” he asks. “After all, it's not a party if one of the hosts isn't there.”

Mingi is easily amused and a pleasant smile is often found on his face when he is enjoying one of the parties hosted by his own cabin. He believes that the parties bring him the same relaxation that he feels when he chooses to lie under the sun to allow it to illuminate his figure.

They both stand up after Mingi nods, and with their hands together, Yunho holds a smile as he leads them towards the cabin, the music getting loud once again. With Mingi's sunglasses tucked away in one of his pockets, and with Mingi's worries left behind. Restlessness, anxiety, thinking he wants to induce madness, Yunho knows that those sensations are what lead Mingi to have purple pupils, to fight with himself.

“One more thing, though,” he hears Mingi say as he tugs on his hand as he stays where he is.

Yunho turns around and looks at him with his head tilted.

“What is it?”

He thinks that maybe Mingi was left with something else to talk about, or that maybe he doesn't want to go back to the party even though he has agreed to stop being outside, but all concern is put aside when Mingi again pulls his hand to draw him to him. He rests his other hand on the back of his neck and brings his face close to his to capture his lips with his.

Yunho feels a bit surprised because he didn't expect that gesture to take place. However, it's not the first time their lips have met and the sudden closeness is more than welcome, so he smiles and wraps his free hand around Mingi's neck. He isn't bothered by the fact that they haven't chosen to put a name to what's going on between them at the moment. He doesn't care as long as Mingi continues to allow him to get closer to him.

“Thank you,” Mingi’s whispered words find his lips.

Needless to mention, it's a thank you for not being scared or not choosing to back away as soon as his purple pupils become present when his thoughts cloud over. It goes without saying that the trust is treasured and the company is more than welcome no matter what other words may express otherwise.

Perhaps there is uncertainty and not all fears are evaporated, but at that moment Yunho can only smile before he is the one to catch Mingi's lips with his, thinking that although not everything is clarified, for the moment, being close to each other is more than enough.
