Summary
Normally, Leon would give up if he knew a person preferred not to talk, but this was Hilal. She wasn’t a stranger. She was…an acquaintance? A childhood friend? Whatever she had been, she is more than just a stranger, and Leon is only curious.
He's also a little frustrated that she’s not making it easy to ask her anything.
“You don’t have to watch me do this.” She clears her throat. "I can manage on my own.”
“I know you can. But do you seriously think I’m here to watch you type the same word in the search box over and over again?”
“Don’t you have a class?”
“Why are you so adamant of pushing me away?”
“Why are you so adamant of staying when this clearly doesn’t benefit you?”
“Hilal, come on. I just wanted to have a conversation.” He sighs. “It’s been thirteen years, and I honestly have never expected to see you again. Is it so bad to want to know how you’ve been?”
She looks at him. He’s forgotten how blue her eyes are. “I hardly think this is the right place for that.”
He frowns. “How so?”
