Kazuha peels his eyes away from Ayato's lips. He looks up to Ayato who's already looking at him. The fact that this doesn't shock him anymore says... Kazuha doesn't exactly know what it says. Not even sure if he's in the right mind to unpack it and let it and everything else sink in. "I am…" Kazuha wets his lips. Ayato's eyes flicker at the action with the subtlety of someone who's used to studying others' body language. "Looking at you right now. My eyes are on you."
"Are they really?" Nothing could've prepared Kazuha for Ayato’s sudden act of tucking Kazuha’s hair behind his ear. “Are they looking at me like how I want you to?”
Kazuha prides himself in holding his liquor well; if Ayato was trained with grace, he trained himself to be amicable as a wanderer with nowhere to root his feet in. Alcohol speaks a national language and Kazuha is fluent. But in the domineering presence of Ayato, he is gone. So, so gone.
