"I swear to god Nyota, every time I see him. Every single time, my face does this stupid thing. I can literally feel it doing a stupid thing and I can't stop it."
Well as far as non sequiturs over heard in bars went that wasn't all that alarming. None the less Bones quirked an eyebrow as he glanced over at Spock. They were meant to meet Jim and Nyota for a few drinks, well the three would drink while Spock murmured the word 'fascinating' over and over again. Leonard considered the Vulcan their emotionless designated driver for the night.
Not that they were actually driving anywhere. But that was besides the point, damnit.
There were no words from Nyota but you didn't have to be a mildly empathic Southern Doctor or a touch telepath to tell she was amused by Kirk's words.
"You should have seen the first time I laid eyes on him. My face didn't know what to fucking do."
Leonard blinked as he realized that neither Jim nor Nyota had realized that they had arrived and he gave a slap to Spock's shoulder. Lucky bastard. Waving the confuse expression away he walked up behind Jim.
Spotting Spock approaching Nyota Jim gave him a friendly smile. "Hey there Spock."
Jim really didn't notice he was there so Leonard gave a sigh and slapped Jim's shoulder before reaching past it to steal the drink from his younger friend. "Hey Kid."
Clearly startled Jim whirled and positively lit up at the sight of the Doctor. "Bones!"
Nyota sputtered into her drink so hard that, for a brief moment, Leonard though he was going have to check on her. Sliding a confused look between the two he quirked an eyebrow.
A heartbeat later Jim's face turned vaguely red and he spun back away from Bones. "It did it again! Damnit!" At that Nyota burst out laughing much to Bones and Spock's confusion till, a moment later Bones was able to connect the dots. "Oh."
Then a much louder. "OH SHIT",a moment later.
