Steve presses his palm to Eddie’s chest, pushing him away just far enough to catch his breath and verbally review their current situation.
“Hold on. We’ve been dancing around this for ages, Munson,” Steve breathes in disbelief, “and this ridiculous Party City beard is what finally did it for you?”
Flickers of a red strobe-light from the living room strike Eddie’s face, evoking a beautifully horrific realness in the fake blood smeared across his lips.
“What can I say, Harrington,” he answers, grinning with that Munson-specific brand of nonchalance. He gestures emphatically at Steve’s disheveled, highly questionable Jesus costume.
With a flustered chuckle, Eddie adds, “The power of Christ… is really compelling.”
