Goro gave her an incredulous look that asked, “…And?”
“...And they are very much alive and breathing.”
At that, Goro blinked rapidly. Opened his mouth only to close it again. He worked his jaw for a few seconds before managing a low, “We don’t deal with the living, though.”
“No shit, Sherlock.”

Thrown into the depths of the Underworld, Akira is left with nothing but the tattered clothes on his back and loving memories of his family back on the surface. Meanwhile, Goro and Kasumi find themselves scrambling to accommodate a living, breathing mortal. As relationships deepen, both are torn between finding a way to return Akira back to the surface where he belongs and keeping this newfound friend to brighten this dreary realm of ash and bone.
