"Oh my god! Killer! Would you please just fuck off!"
Laughter followed as Killer threw another water balloon at Dust making him yelp as it burst on his back soaking his hoodie with freezing water.
"What's the matter, Dustbin? Didn't you say you were too hot?" Killer mocked and pulled out another one.
"Don't you fucking dare!"
Miracle sighed and smacked his face into the textbook he was working from. How the hell was he meant to concentrate on studying for the next exam his father had planned for him if his mother and uncle kept being so loud?
"KILLER NO!"
"KILLER YES!"
"That's it!" A third voice joined as Horror came stomping into the room and grabbed both Killer and Dust by the hood. "I'm throwing you both in an ice bath!"
"Noooo!" They both whined and struggled to get away.
Miracle peeked over the sofa he was sitting on. Glad that he was now going to get some peace and quiet to study... Only for Killer to pull out another water balloon and smack Horror in the face with it making him drop them. Miracle sighed again as Killer and Dust both began to attack Horror with the balloons instead.
This was hopeless. He had gone into the common room to study so he could have the TV on in the background since a little background noise seemed to help him but his mother and uncles were just too distracting. He could go to his room but then he'd just get distracted by his video games, he could go to the library but then he'd just get distracted by a really good book... If he went to his father's office he'd probably just end up being tested there and then...
He knew that asking them to please quiet down would just end with him being dragged into it. Miracle was the youngest here but he was far more mature than most of the adults he lived with. And that was saying something because he wasn't really that mature himself. What the hell was he meant to do?
A meow brought him back from his thoughts and he looked down at his cat, Diamond. "Any ideas, girl?" Miracle asked with a sigh as she hopped up onto the sofa and nuzzled his side. He pet her gently as the screaming continued. He could go and complain to his father about their noise but then that'd just piss him off and they would get into trouble. Miracle just didn't want any part in it, at least not right now. If he didn't need to study he'd be right in the middle of the water balloon fight.
But he really needed to study; if he passed this exam then his father would finally allow him to help with tactics and while Miracle didn't like war he really did want to help end it and make his father proud of him. Besides if he could help plan he could also make sure his cousins didn't get hurt.
There was only one way he'd get enough quiet to study. Grabbing up his books he shoved them into his backpack and stood up. Luckily the Murder Time Trio had moved away from the door so Miracle hoped he'd get away without them noticing.
"Hey, kiddo! Where ya going?" Killer called seeing his son leaving the room out of the corner of his eye.
Crap, Miracle thought but turned around to face his mother. "I've been studying for a while now; I figured I could have an hour break and play a video game."
" Or~" Killer almost sang as he held up a water balloon. "You could help me cool these two hotheads down?"
"No thanks," Miracle declined. "Running around will just tire me out and I really need to study."
Killer shrugged and tossed the balloon at Horror. "Fair enough. I'll try to make Nightmare go easy on ya when it comes to the test."
"Heh thanks, Mum but I'm pretty sure Dad has already written it."
"I'll get you the answer key then!"
"That's cheating."
"Only if you bring it in with you! Just memorise it!"
Miracle just rolled his eyes as both Horror and Dust got Killer while his back was turned and the w ater balloon war began again as Killer turned around with two in his hands. Miracle took that as his queue to leave before they decided he'd make a good target. He just hoped they'd manage to dry everything before Nightmare came down.
Once Miracle got to his room he shut the door and locked it. He quickly turned on the closest console and picked a random game. Loading it up he played it for about ten minutes before he paused it. He smiled to himself; this way when he came back it looked like he'd been there the whole time. He knew he wasn't allowed to leave Dreamtale alone but he did it all the time and hadn't been caught yet. Besides, he could now open and close portals easily. He'd never get trapped again.
Of course this time he wasn't going to meet up with one of his cousins, this time he was just going to a random AU and hopefully he'd be able to study. He opened up the portal with ease and looked to Diamond who meowed at him with a look of disapproval.
"Oh come on! What else am I meant to do? I can't concentrate here and if I go tell on them it'll ruin their fun."
Diamond meowed again.
"You're going to be there to protect me though and I won't be long. They'll eventually run out of water balloons and hopefully they'll be quiet after that."
Miracle could have sworn he saw Diamond roll her eye at him but he figured it must just be his imagination. He often replied to her meows as if they were having a conversation and usually it was just him convincing himself that he should do the thing that he really shouldn't do; whether that be sneaking out or stealing snacks.
He smiled at the cat and then walked through the portal. He ended up standing in a desert town and instantly regretted it; he wore a coat and combat boots! Sighing Miracle put down his backpack and shoved his coat into it, as well as his crown just in case. He then rolled up his sleeves and the legs of his pants. There was nothing he could do about his boots but he figured that once he found a place to sit he could just take them off. Lastly Miracle shoved his soul under his shirt, he really hated that feeling but once he was hidden he could let it out again.
Luckily there didn't seem to be too many people going about. He appeared to be in a residential area as there were lots of buildings that looked like houses. Looking around before he picked a direction Miracle began to walk. Diamond seemed interested in this AU as well and walked ahead of Miracle sniffing the air as she went. Miracle laughed at her as he watched. She was so protective it was cute. Of course Miracle knew she could be really fierce and she wouldn't hesitate to attack anyone who went for him.
They weren't walking for long before they came to an oasis. Miracle smiled at the sight; the water was a pretty blue, there were trees and plants surrounding it and best of all there was no one around. It looked like the perfect place to study in. Miracle found himself a spot that was hidden by the plants and close to the water before he let his soul pop out again. He sat down and pulled off his boots as fast as he could; his feet were sweating! He sighed in relief as he put his feet into the water; he really needed that and the water was cool and refreshing.
Looking over to the side he saw that Diamond had found a shady patch and lay down spread out. Miracle smiled at her before he pulled off his backpack and pulled out his textbook and notes. Time to study again.
"Oh Cross, look at this!" Dream called excitedly when he spotted a little stall that was selling colourful jewellery. This desert world was a nice AU that had just had its first pacifist timeline after a lot of genocides and neutrals so Dream had wanted to go and spread around some positivity to hopefully make it stay this way. It was also nice to have calm moments like this where they could just wander around without being stopped since this AU wasn't aware of the Multiverse.
Cross smiled at his husband as he followed him over to the stall. He was on guard as always but there really didn't seem to be any danger here. Even if they did get weird looks for what they were wearing. Most of those looks were aimed at Cross though so he wasn't worried after all it was strange to see someone in a desert wearing layers and a fluffy hood.
The guard watched as Dream browsed the jewellery. He really enjoyed doing things like this, it felt really normal. Although he was starting to get a bit too hot; if his outfit wasn't so damn complicated he'd just take off a few layers.
"Wow, this one's really pretty," Dream commented on one piece and held it up to show Cross who's attention was brought back from lamenting about his dumb outfit.
He looked at the necklace that Dream was showing him. It had a pretty purple stone pendant that caught the light perfectly. Cross believed it was an amethyst. "Yeah it is," he agreed with Dream with a smile.
"Do you think Lux would like it?" Dream asked. Ah, that made sense; Cross had been wondering why Dream had dragged him over to a jewellery stall. Dream often liked to bring back gifts for his children when he went to worlds like this.
"Yeah, I think so. Want to get it for her?" Cross asked. When Dream nodded Cross smiled and took it from Dream to go talk with the merchant himself. Dream tended to be bad at haggling since he just paid the first price he was offered but Cross often found that stalls like this allowed haggling. If they could get the necklace for cheaper then that would mean they had more money to spend on the other kids and themselves as well.
Dream watched with a smile as Cross spoke with the merchant before he turned around to look over at the other stalls. Since they'd found something to give to Lux he'd have to get a gift for the others as well or it wouldn't be fair. Dream really was enjoying this shopping trip but he also didn't want to spend too long here since he had other places to be but more importantly he could sense Cross's discomfort and he knew his husband was too hot.
Suddenly Dream felt a cold chill run up his spine. He could clearly sense a strong concentration of negativity had suddenly appeared. But it was weird; it was too much to be natural but not strong enough to be Nightmare... If it were natural it wouldn't have been so sudden it would slowly grow but this was sudden and that only happened when his brother was involved. He frowned as he looked around for the source.
"Dream? You okay?" Cross asked, seeing that his husband was looking worried. He'd just bought the necklace and was ready to continue to other stalls; he wasn't expecting Dream to look so concerned.
"There's... Negativity here," Dream said. He wasn't really sure how to describe it to Cross, he'd never felt this before.
"Negativity? Nightmare's here?" Cross asked, readying himself for a fight only for Dream to put his hand out to stop him.
"No, it's too weak to be Nightmare but too strong and too quick to be natural."
"...A wounded Nightmare?" Cross asked.
"I'm not sure..." Dream said and began to walk slowly. Cross followed closely not wanting to lose Dream in the crowd.
"Could be a trap," Cross said as he took Dream's hand making him look up at him. "He could be trying to hide his aura?"
"No, I don't think it is. It feels different. I just don't know what it is but I don't like it." Dream kept walking. Whatever it was, it couldn't be good. Any unnatural negativity was bad so as Dream walked he began to speed up and prepare for a fight. Even though it really didn't feel like his brother.
Cross followed along silently readying himself for a fight as well. Dream's reaction had him on edge and he was preparing for anything.
Soon they arrived at the oasis and Dream stopped suddenly. Cross stopped as well and looked at Dream who was frowning and looking around. "It's here?" Cross whispered just in case whatever was causing Dream's worry could hear them. The oasis didn't look any different from when they were there earlier and Cross couldn't see anyone around either.
"It's here," Dream whispered back and started walking again as he pulled out his staff. Cross followed without a word. He trusted Dream to lead them. Slowly Dream made his way over to some plants. The feeling got stronger the closer he got to it. He looked back to Cross quickly and nodded before Dream carefully pushed the leaves aside with his staff prepared to see Nightmare or one of the gang lying in wait.
Only to see a teenager sitting on a rock with his bare feet in the water, a pair of boots plus a backpack to his side and a book in his hands. He looked like he was studying? But there was so much negativity surrounding him. Realisation struck Dream as he stared at the boy... He was the right age and he had a negative aura... This was Miracle; Dream's nephew who he'd never seen in person. The only thing he had was the one photo Killer had sent him when Miracle was a baby. Neither Nightmare nor the gang had given him anything else on the boy. He'd been a true mystery but Dream had always wanted to know more, he'd always wanted to meet him. He didn't push it out of respect but here and now the boy was in front of him, alone.
Dream cleared his throat and spoke. "Um, hello?"
"EEK!" The teenager jumped, his book being tossed to the side as he scrambled to get up only to slip and fall right into the water with a splash.
Cross had to fight down the laughter at that. He too had quickly worked out who it was and that had been so unexpected from Nightmare's son that it was funny. With how Nightmare and Killer were he had thought their son would be more alert.
However Cross's amusement was quickly squashed when he saw the boy splashing in the deep water and struggling to stay afloat. "Oh shit!" Cross blurted out at seeing the teen drowning but before he could do anything Dream had tossed his staff, crown and cape to the side and jumped right in. Cross stood at the side planning on jumping in himself if it looked like Dream was struggling. But that seemed to not be a problem as Dream grabbed the boy and began pulling him to the side. Although it looked like Miracle was struggling and trying to get away from Dream.
"Meow!" Cross noticed the black cat that had appeared at the side of the water. He had no idea where she came from but he knew, thanks to Ccino, that Nightmare had a cat so this wasn't all that surprising.
Dream really didn't have a good time trying to get his nephew to the side with his squirming and pushing but he got to the side in the end. Once there he called out for Cross and he was over right away. Quickly Cross offered his hand to Miracle who just scowled at him. He didn't seem to want to accept help so Cross just reached further down and grabbed the kid's wrist to pull him up.
As soon as Miracle was around halfway out of the water the cat also grabbed hold of him. Taking his sleeve in her mouth and pulling as well. She probably didn't really help much but Dream couldn't help but find it cute.
Now that the teen was safe Dream pulled himself out of the water and tried to shake himself off. He'd have to find a towel somewhere or maybe the sun would just dry them? That wasn't important right now though and Dream smiled at his nephew. "Are you okay?"
Miracle was standing and staring at Dream and Cross looking like he wanted to disappear. His face had turned a dark magenta. "...I'm fine..." He muttered under his breath.
"I'm really sorry!" Dream exclaimed as he took a step forward. "I didn't mean to startle you."
"It's okay," Miracle muttered again. He really wanted to get out of here but to do that he'd have to grab up all his things so he didn't leave anything behind... And if someone just so happened to come into his room he'd have to explain why he was soaking wet and that wouldn't go over well. His father would freak, his mother would probably get stabby and he would be so grounded for so long.
Dream just smiled kindly at him. "I'm just glad you're alright. I really wasn't expecting you to fall into the water like that."
Miracle just shrunk down into himself at that and tensed. Not only was this dangerous being so close to the enemy but that was just embarrassing. He was the son of Nightmare and Killer; two of the Multiverse's biggest villains and here he was getting startled easily, screaming, falling into water and nearly drowning. Really not the image he wanted for himself. At all.
The silence that came over them was really, really awkward. Cross and Dream were in the way of his things... He could just ask them to move so he could get them and go but he doubted they'd let him. His father always told him that they were dangerous, that they would want to take him away from his family. To say he was terrified would be fair. Miracle knew he shouldn't be; as the son of Nightmare he had to be strong and brave but he couldn't... He wasn't a fighter; he'd never be a fighter. If they attacked he wouldn't be able to defend himself.
"...I'm not here to hurt anyone," Miracle said, trying to be a little louder than he had been but his voice failed him. "I-I'm just here to study since everyone was being so loud..."
"Hey, it's okay," Dream said, noticing that he seemed to be feeling scared. "I just sensed some unnatural negativity here and went to investigate. We can see that you were just studying."
Cross, while still a little on edge since it was Nightmare's kid, relaxed somewhat. "We're not going to hurt you. We don't have any reason to."
"No reason to?" Miracle asked, looking suspicious. He knew not to trust them for all he knew they were trying to lull him into a false sense of security not like that would be needed to take him down but they didn't know that... Even if they'd seen him fall into the water... "I know you know who I am just like I know who you are. Filthy traitor."
"Wow," Cross said as he turned to Dream. "Definitely Nightmare's."
Dream playfully hit Cross's arm at that and rolled his eyes. "Don't mind him," Dream said to Miracle, "but he's right; you're not here to do anything bad so we have no reason to fight you. It's just very nice to meet you."
It really was. Dream had always wanted to meet his nephew from the moment he found out he existed and he was beginning to believe he never would. This was the last thing he expected but he was here. It did feel a little strange to Dream as well just knowing that this teen was his nephew, the son of his brother... And he even reminded Dream of Nightmare as well, not just with his purple eyes but with the way he was sitting with the book in his hands and how shy he was.
Miracle just glared at his bio uncle. "You just believe that? How could you trust anything I say? For all you know I could be some kind of distraction while my family attacks another AU."
"I doubt that," Cross scoffed, "I mean Nightmare was so against us ever seeing you I doubt he'd just use you as bait like that."
Dream nodded at that. "Really it's just a coincidence that we happened to be in the same AU. I understand that you don't trust us but really we don't want to hurt you."
"But I'm still Nightmare's son," Miracle said. "I'm your enemy..."
Dream sighed at that. "You don't need to be afraid. You're sickly I wouldn't fight anyone who couldn't fight back fairly. Besides, I really don't want to hurt anyone! You're not doing anything bad either so there is no reason to attack you."
Miracle looked Dream up and down before his eyes darted to Cross and looked him up and down as well. They really didn't seem to want to attack him... Was his father just paranoid? That was a fair assumption after all Miracle had made friends with all his cousins and the Afterdeath kids to a certain extent as well... Just Dream and Cross were a different story; they were his family's actual enemies. Still Miracle was very aware of how overprotective his father was over him and had seen how he got possessive over his mother at times. Telling him that his bio uncle wanted to capture him was probably just Nightmare overreacting... Maybe... Miracle still could not be 100% sure. He had to keep himself safe.
"What do you want?" Miracle finally spoke again after weighing up his options. He really just wanted to leave but at the same time he wasn't looking forward to going back and explaining just to end up grounded even though he was eighteen. His parents would then raise hell and go after Dream and Cross even if he wasn't harmed. It would be better if he could dry off before going home just to avoid that.
"Huh?" Dream tilted his head to the side at the question. "Honestly I just didn't know what the odd negativity was and went to investigate. When I realised who you were... Well I guess I just want to speak with you?"
"Why?" Miracle asked, he really wished he could get to his bag. He had a knife in there that had been a gift from his mother. He didn't like using it but it'd at least give him something to defend himself with since he was worried about summoning his tentacles just in case it attracted attention. They weren't exactly totally hidden here and the last thing he wanted was to freak out the locals. He was at least comforted by the fact that Diamond was by his side who was watching his two uncles closely.
"You're my nephew," Dream replied. "I really just want to be close with my brother again and you of course."
"...Yeah, that's not going to happen," Miracle said with a shrug. "Dad really hates you."
"I know..." Dream sighed. He could really sense that his nephew was on edge and backed up a little figuring that they probably wouldn't get to talk with him. "I wish things didn't have to be this way."
Miracle hesitated for a little. He really didn't know what to say. He was meant to hate Dream but he really didn't know him so he found that hard. If anything he feared him but that was only because of what his father had told him all his life. His cousins were always telling him that their mother was good and wouldn't hurt him. "I..." Miracle sighed and shoved his hands in his pants pockets to hide the shaking even though it was probably a bit late for that. "For what it's worth I really don't want to fight. I just want the war to end... I hate it, really. I'm always worried someone will come home hurt or not come home at all..."
"Oh?" Dream looked surprised at that and turned to look at Cross who looked just as surprised.
"But no matter how much I don't want to, I don't really have much of a choice. …I'm sure Dad wouldn't be too disappointed if I told him that I don't want anything to do with it but at the same time I want to make him proud of me. Even if that means helping him make his plans and forging documents."
"I understand," Dream said, "you are Nightmare's son and it's clear he cares for you. I'm glad that he's found some happiness."
"You won't try to fight me?" Miracle asked. He was still very wary of them. Even if they wouldn't want to hurt him, taking him prisoner could still be an option.
"Really, kid?" Cross spoke up with a raised brow. "You wouldn't stand a chance in a fight with us which is why we're not going to. We've already said as much."
"Right... Can't really blame me though. We're enemies."
"Also family," Dream pointed out. "It's just really good to meet you, things won't really be the way I want them to but I'm happy I got to speak with you. I never thought I would with how Nighty is."
That just made Miracle tense again. It really seemed to him that his bio uncle really was harmless to him. At least for now. He really should have known his father was just overprotective since his cousins were all alright. He couldn't say he wasn't curious about his bio uncle; he'd been told many stories by his cousins but the thought of actually speaking to Dream had always just been scary with the way Nightmare spoke about Dream. "He'll hurt you Miracle, he'll take you away from me, he always fights us, he's dangerous."
"I think Dad's just overprotective," Miracle admitted out loud hoping to calm himself down. He knew he shouldn't be scared of Dream not with the clear evidence that he wasn't a threat but it had been drilled into him that Dream equals bad.
"I would've said he's more possessive," Cross muttered, "he thinks people belong to him. Ya know like property."
Miracle shrugged at that. That was true, he couldn't argue but the way Cross said it made it sound more toxic than Miracle believed it was. Sure Nightmare liked to call the gang, especially Killer, his but at the end of the day he cared for them all. He made sure there was a roof over their head, clothes on their backs, food on the table and he always made sure wounds were healed. Even if he could be moody and a bit of a killjoy he would still join the fun in his rare down time. He put up with Killer's bullshit all the time and even married him despite the fact that Killer annoyed him to no end.
"He's not all that bad," Miracle said, "he really cares. He's strict, like really strict but he wouldn't hurt me or any of the gang and everything always becomes more fun when Dad joins in. Even if it's hard to get him to, especially if he's reading a book."
Dream couldn't help but giggle a little at what his nephew had said. "I guess some things never change," Dream felt rather nostalgic at that. "As a child he never wanted to play with me and was always buried in a book but if I managed to get him to agree I would always have the best time! Even though it was with an-"
"-Eye roll, exaggerated sigh and a stressed 'fine.' " Miracle finished what Dream was saying, making the latter laugh loudly.
"Yes! Exactly like that!" Dream nodded. "He'd have fun in the end as well so I don't know why it was such a pain to get him to join."
Miracle couldn't help but laugh at that as well. It just sounded so much like his father. He'd always claim he was nothing like how he used to be but Miracle could clearly see now that wasn't really the case. "Most of the time we have to bug him a lot before he gives in. Mum's pretty good at it."
Dream giggled again. "Yeah I can totally see Killer annoying him into getting what he wants... They're happy together?"
"Yeah, they are. Even if Dad's telling Mum to shut up most of the time. They really love each other and flirt all the time. It's honestly embarrassing."
"Aww," Dream said with a nod, "I'm glad Nighty's happy that's all I want."
Miracle gave a half smile. His bio uncle really did seem genuine. "I honestly want the fighting to end," he told them, "and I'm sorry that I don't think I'd be able to change Dad's mind..."
"It's alright," Dream took a step forward and smiled gently. "We don't expect you to. I'm just happy to know that you don't want to fight. I still have hope that we can win and get Nighty back but if not I am happy he has some happiness in his life. You seem like a good young man."
"Thanks, I guess," Miracle shrugged with another blush coming to his face.
"We should probably get dried off," Dream said as he pulled off his gloves and jacket to squeeze out some of the water. It was beginning to become uncomfortable with the fabric sticking to him.
"I'll run home and grab a couple of towels," Cross said, quickly opening up a portal and dashing through. He doubted Nightmare's kid would attack Dream while he was away; the kid seemed harmless and even if he tried Dream was more than capable of handling it.
Cross wasn't gone for long before he returned with two towels and two sets of clothes. Miracle was slightly confused when Cross handed them to him but Cross just gave him a small smile. "I can shove your clothes in the dryer if you want? They'll dry quicker that way. These should fit you so they'll do for now."
"Oh," Miracle said, a little shocked that they were being so nice to him. He knew he should be wary but it wasn't like he had anything important in his pockets and he had removed his coat, boots and crown so all that had gotten wet was his pants and shirt. "Thanks," Miracle muttered as he took the towel and clothes.
Both Dream and Miracle then moved more into the plants and separated so they were hidden while they changed. Miracle really didn't think orange was his colour at all but it'd have to do since there was no way he was going to put his coat back on in this hot weather. Upon returning out of the plants he noticed that Diamond had taken it upon herself to guard his things. She was positioned between Cross and the backpack while watching him very closely. She even hissed at Cross when she saw Miracle handing over his clothes to him.
Bending down so he could pet her, Miracle just laughed. "Hey it's okay. Nothing to worry about, alright?"
"Is she always that protective of you?" Cross asked.
"Pretty much, yeah," Miracle said as he scratched her chin. "Dad saved her when she was a kitten back when Mum was pregnant with me. She's just been really protective ever since then. We think it's her way of thanking him."
"Wait," Cross said at that and looked over to Miracle. "That means she's like eighteen?"
Miracle hummed an affirmative. "We think it has to do with Dad giving her magic. It made her lifespan way longer than it should be."
"Huh," Cross shrugged. He really didn't know what to say to Nightmare's kid but luckily the awkwardness didn't last for long as Dream came back and handed his clothes to Cross as well. He was glad for the excuse to get away for a minute while he put the dryer on. He also decided that since they were clearly going to be spending more time in the desert he should take off some of his layers.
Going back once he was done Cross noticed that Dream was sitting next to his nephew, both of them with their feet in the water like how Miracle was when they found them. Cross also noticed that Miracle had a crown on. He was behind them so he didn't know what the front looked like but it was clearly a circlet similar to Dream's and Nightmare's.
Dream turned to face Cross with a smile and waved him over. "Cross! Come here! Miracle was just showing me his crown; isn't it cool?"
Cross came over and looked at Miracle who looked up at him. The cat on his lap just meowed at him as he looked at the crown on Miracle's head. The crown was rectangle with a crescent moon and three stars cut out of it. "Cool," Cross said, not really caring all that much. Really even if the kid seemed harmless it was still good to stay alert.
"He was telling me that the moon represents Nightmare, the big star represents Killer and the two smaller ones represent Horror and Dust. I just think that's lovely. It's so well thought out!" Dream said, sounding rather excited.
Seeing his husband seeming so happy and excited about it made Cross just sigh before he sat down next to them. This really didn't seem that bad.
They all sat by the water and spoke until the wet clothes had been dried. Miracle seemed rather awkward the whole time but Dream didn't seem to mind and slowly the teen became more and more comfortable. Dream was really happy that he finally got a chance to see his nephew who he'd longed to see since he first found out about him. He clearly had fun swapping stories about Nightmare.
Once their clothes were dry though Miracle had to leave. He told them that no one knew he was here and that he really wasn't allowed to go to other AUs alone. He promised not to tell since that'd get him in trouble as well and went on his way.
Dream was beaming with happiness about the chance meeting and hoped it'd happen again one day. More so he hoped that the war would end and Nightmare would come back. But as of right now he was just happy for this one small step and he and Cross returned to their shopping trip.
Miracle was a little shaken that he'd been found but was glad his uncle wasn't as bad as his father claimed. He made it back into his room with no signs that he'd been caught and turned off his game. He had just wasted some time there and he really needed to study.
