Jacob's bakery in Hogsmeade remained immensely popular. Even if the village was supposed to be the only wizard-only village? They'd made an exception for Jacob Kowalski's family, given his tremendous assistance in the war against Grindelwald. The least the Wizarding world could do was guarantee his and his family's protection. Particularly with what transpired at the election in Bhutan.

It's been three and half years since he and his wife Queenie resettled here. They'd been occupied with the bakery and tending to their three-year-old daughter Natalie. She'd demonstrated quickly that she'd become a powerful witch one day. Regarding reading minds, the untrained three-year-old had already established herself as a prodigy like her mama.

Plus, she'd her father's skills for being effortlessly sociable moreover an outstanding baker. So Natalie was busy assisting her father in baking some fresh magical creature pastries. His adventures with her beloved godfather, Newt, had inspired the treats. "Daddy! I'm finished with the Nifflers! Don't they look yummy?" the little curly-haired brunette questioned.

The child looked identical to her mother, only with her father's coloring. Like her mother, she frequently wore pink. However, she talked with her father's trademark Brooklyn accent. Jacob turned to his precious little girl holding the baking tray, ready to go into the oven. "They look perfect, sweetheart. Did you remember to add the secret ingredient?" he teased.

"Yes, Daddy! I remember to add tons of love! You and Mummy always said to put a dash of love into everything! So I made sure to put extra into them!" she replied cheerfully.

He patted her on the head. "That's my little girl. Why don't you go see how Mummy's doing?" The adorable little girl cried, "Okay!" as she scampered off.

He smiled before he heard a familiar voice behind him speak. "You know she did an excellent job making them look like Teddy," replied the quirky voice of Newt! Jacob accidentally dropped the tray, which Newt utilized his magic to save. "Sorry about that, Jacob. Didn't mean to startle you," his buddy apologized swiftly.

Jacob merely shrugged before grinning, "Well, thanks for rescuing Nat's little Nifflers. Those are her favorite magical creature. However, I'm starting to regret consenting to let her keep one as a pet."

"Oh, is Timothy causing difficulties again?" Newt looked a tad apologetic. The Polish baker only shrugged. But, of course, it was his fault for giving into his daughter's pleading to have one of the infant Nifflers for her third birthday.

"We both know those critters can be a bit of a nuisance. However, Timothy isn't a nuisance to Natalie. He's a nuisance to me. Between you and I? I cannot tell what Natalie will grow up to be. Nevertheless, she's got something from each of us. Like her godfather? She's got an aptitude for creatures, magical and non-magical."

"Well, it's nice to know my goddaughter, a budding Magizoologist. Tell me. Is it true she's already memorized my book? I don't believe most three-year-olds would have the capability to read. Let alone read it the level my book is."

"Yep, she knows her godfather's book by heart. Natalie is proving to be a bit of a prodigy. I know Queenie wishes she could attend Ilvermorny. However, unless the folks back in the States ever reverse that one decree?

It looks like Natalie will be going to Hogwarts. Not that I mind which school she ends up attending. I want her to be happy. As long as she's happy, Newt? Then I'm fine."

"Good to know you're so calm and easy regarding it. Still, she's a long way off from being eleven to even getting her acceptance letter. So, for now? Let her have the best childhood she can have."

"Particularly since that madman is still on the loose. Don't be distressed about it, Newt. I will do everything possible to provide Nat and any future siblings with the best childhood ever."

Then from the flat above the bakery, they heard Queenie call out, "Jacob, honey? Do you know where my new bracelet went? I can't find it anywhere!" Jacob glanced at Newt, who reddened. "Well, I better find Timothy and get him to give it back. Are we still on for dinner tonight at the Hogs Head?"

"You bet. Now please find my wife's new bracelet quickly!" To which Newt nodded and went to find his goddaughter's pet. A typical day for the Kowalski family.
