Work Text:

Clang!

Hiccup and Astrid's weapons hit against each other as they fought. Their weapons slid during their block when Astrid suddenly removed her axe but Hiccup was ready this time. "I'm not falling for that again, m'lady." Hiccup chuckled as he charged at her with his fire sword, Inferno. Astrid dodged his attack before attempting to hit him with her axe. He too avoided it and then tripped her up, making her tumble onto the ground with her knees to her chest. Hiccup started to get cocky as he held out his hand for her to take. But instead of standing up, Astrid pulled him down, flipped him over so that she was standing over him with her axe to his throat.

"Hey! No fair! I was helping yo-" Astrid brought her axe closer to his neck. "Good game." Hiccup quickly recovered.

Astrid balled her hand into a fist and Hiccup closed his eyes, bracing for the pain but instead felt something warm on his lips. He opened his eyes to see Astrid kissing him for a few second before pulling away.

Hiccup stared dreamily ahead at her. "Maybe I should lose more often."

Astrid chuckled, helping him up properly this time. Just as Hiccup was back on his feet (A/N: Or should I say foot? Harharhara Terrible Terror landed on his shoulder with a note attached to it's small leg. Hiccup released Astrid's hand and unravelled the piece of paper. His eyebrows furrowed in concentration. Astrid leaned her head closer. "What does it say?" She asked. Hiccup kept his eyes on the paper but responded to her query. "It's my dad. He says there's an old friend of his coming for a visit and he was hoping we could be there." Astrid nodded. The Terror flew away and Hiccup shoved the letter into one of his pockets.

He turned to look at Astrid and grabbed her hand. She smiled. "Is it a friend from an ally?" She asked as they walked up to the clubhouse, hands intertwined. "I don't know. He didn't say. But you're probably right." Hiccup shrugged.

Astrid hummed in response. However, before they could make it inside the clubhouse, Toothless came out of nowhere and jumped onto Hiccup, flattening him to the ground.

"Argh! Toothless!" Hiccup scolded but the dragon simply laughed and showed off his gummy smile. Astrid couldn't help but laugh too.

Hiccup rolled his eyes. "Oh, so this is funny to the two of you? Seriously, Astrid? You're not going to help me?" Hiccup said sarcastically.

Astrid shook her head, kneeling down so she was at his level. "Aw, does my big baby boo want my help?" Astrid said as if she was talking to a toddler. Hiccup groaned and rolled his eyes again. "Gods..." He muttered. Astrid leaned in and gave him a kiss on the lips before walking to the clubhouse.

"Your dragon your problem!" She called from behind.

Hiccup rolled his eyes. "Love you too." He muttered.

He didn't see her turn back and realised she was serious. "Astrid?! Come on!" He begged. Toothless warbled in amusement. Astrid didn't even face him, instead she just waved as she continued to walk away.

Hiccup looked up at his dragon who was rolling around but keeping him trapped underneath his enormous weight. "Did you enjoy that?" He asked and the dragon laughed. Hiccup always found it funny how a dragon could laugh. Soon, Hiccup started to join in his laughter.

"Ah! Son, ya made it!" Stoick boomed. He walked over to where Hiccup was and pulled him into a hug so tight Astrid winced when she heard cracks. Hiccup groaned. "H-hey, d-dad." He struggled. Stoick chuckled before setting him back down. "And there goes another rib." Hiccup said sarcastically as he brushed himself off.

Astrid walked next to Hiccup as they made their way to the Great Hall, where this supposed friend was. Astrid giggled quietly, trying to hide it from Hiccup but failing. Hiccup glared at her.

"First Toothless and now my dad? Do you enjoy watching me suffer?" He asked in a jokingly angry tone.

Astrid gave him an innocent smile. "I don't know what you're talking about."

Hiccup chuckled, wrapping an arm around his girlfriend's - fiancé's - shoulder as they entered the giant double doors. At one of the tables, was a large man who resembled Stoick slightly, except for his brown hair. Stoick made his way toward she man with open arms. He matched them and they hugged. "Ah, it's good to see you here again, Edgar." The chief of Berk greeted. Edgar laughed. "Same to you, Stoick." They parted and Stoick gestured for the pair to come over.

"Edgar, I'd like you to meet my son, Hiccup and his betrothed, Astrid. Hiccup, Astrid, this is an old friend of mine, Edgar. He's the chief of a neighbouring tribe." Stoick introduced. Edgar shook both their hands.

"Wonderful to meet you. I have a daughter who's about your age." He said before stepping aside to reveal a girl with brown hair like her father, blue eyes and in quite a formal attire. She had a long dress that went to her ankles, fabric wrapped around her stomach and was wearing some light vest. She stepped forward, next to her father.

"Hiccup and Astrid, this is Naomi. She's Edgar's daughter." Stoick said. Edgar clasped his hands together. "Well, I suppose we should leave them be. Stoick and I have some catching up to do." The man laughed. The two walked away happily, leaving behind the young adults.

Hiccup held out his hand. "Hi. I'm Hiccup Haddock." He greeted.

She smiled at him and Astrid had a strange feeling in her stomach at the way she looked at him. "Naomi Leaf. I've heard so much about you, Hiccup!" She squealed.

Hiccup glanced at Astrid. "This is Astrid Hofferson. She's my betrothed." As soon as Hiccup said the word 'betrothed', Naomi stared at her like she was a piece of dirt on her boots.

Astrid didn't trust the girl but she didn't want another Heather incident. She held out her hand. Naomi's eyes flickered down at her hand before shaking her hand with her two tips of her fingers instead, as if Astrid had some sort of disease. "Oh. Yes, hello." She said in disgust. Astrid dropped her hand, narrowing her eyes slightly at the girl.

Naomi then turned back to Hiccup, completely ignoring Astrid. "So, Hiccup," She started in a sickeningly sweet tone. "What do you say you give me a tour of Berk?" She battered her eyelashes. Hiccup shrugged. "Sure." He took Astrid's hand in his and was about to walk away when Naomi grabbed his arm.

"Oh, I meant just the two of us." She added. Hiccup looked to Astrid to see if she was okay with it.

Astrid smiled. "It's okay. You two have fun." She said. Hiccup gave her stern eyes, as if to say "don't leave me" but Astrid just leaned in and pecked his cheek before walking to where the gang were waiting in the arena.

Four hours.

It had been four hours since Hiccup had gone on a tour with Naomi and Astrid was getting pretty irritated. She waited in the arena with the others, who were just messing around as their usual selves. Astrid couldn't do anything but think about how Naomi acted towards Hiccup. She would give this look, cling onto his arm, stand way too close to him. Astrid didn't want to come across as clingy or insecure but she couldn't help but feel a tad bit...jealous?

Fishlegs noticed how Astrid hadn't said anything in a long while. He peaked out from his book and stared at the girl who was deep in thought, her arms crossed and leaning on her axe.

"Astrid? You good?" Fishlegs asked and Astrid snapped out of her trance, bolting upright. "Huh? Oh, yeah. I'm fine." Astrid lied. Fishlegs gave her an expression of disbelief and Astrid sighed in defeat.

"I'm not fine." She mumbled.

She and the others had become closer over the years with Astrid being less violent to them, except for Snotlout of course, but even her and Snotlout had bonded a few times. It was hard for her to open up to people and it took time but eventually, they got to see the kind and caring side of her. Her vulnerability. Like now.

Fishlegs closed his book and set it down. "What's wrong?" He pushed. Astrid glanced at him through the corner of her eyes hut didn't answer. "Come on, you can tell me."

Astrid sighed. "It's Naomi. She and Hiccup went on a tour of Berk four hours ago and there's still no sign of them." She admitted.

Fishlegs stood up and sat down next to her on a stool. He raised his brow, gesturing for her to continue.

"It's just...she keeps giving him these..looks and she's always with him...always talking to him and...I don't want to be controlling and clingy..he can talk to who he likes but..." Astrid trailed off, not sure what to do about the situation. Fishlegs sighed.

"Astrid, it's okay to be jealous, it happens to all of us. And yeah, maybe Naomi is a bit out of line so you should mention it to Hiccup." Fishlegs reassured.

Astrid gave him  a grateful smile. "Thanks, Fish." She placed her hand on top of his for a few seconds before running out of the arena with her battle axe.

Astrid ran to the Great Hall, searching for Hiccup. As if the Gods were listening, Hiccup was at the table...with Naomi. He was showing her the Book of Dragons but she was mostly focused on him, sitting way too close and giggling at everything he said. Hiccup, of course, being oblivious, had no idea what she was getting at. Astrid made her way to the table. "Hiccup?" She called. Hiccup snapped his head upwards to see Astrid standing ahead of him.

"Astrid! Oh my Gods, I'm so sorry. I lost track of time and Naomi insisted I show her the Book of Dragons and-"

"No, no. It's fine, Hiccup. I just wanted to ask if you...wanted to train in the arena?" Astrid asked sheepishly. Hiccup turned to Naomi.

"Hey, so, I'm gonna go train with Astrid for a bit. You good with the tour?" He questioned.

Naomi moved closer to him, making Astrid inwardly growl. "Oh, but a girl like me in such a big place, I would most surely get lost! Maybe I should come with you?" She suggested.

Hiccup shrugged. "Sure." He stood up and ran to where Astrid was, walking beside her.

Astrid smiled at him and he did the same until Naomi came and ruined their moment. She stuffed herself to his side, moving her face closer to his.

"So, Hiccup," She started in a high pitched voice that Astrid absolutely despised. Hiccup, still oblivious, faced her innocently. "What was it like being the first person to tame a dragon? A Night Fury no less!" She gushed. Hiccup shrugged his shoulders.

"I mean, it was pretty cool. Most people didn't think I could pull it off but Astrid was the only person who believed in me." He recalled, turning back to his beloved and giving her a sweet grin while Astrid smiled warmly, ecstatic at the words he had said. Naomi silently scoffed but Astrid caught it.

"Yeah, but it was you who did all of it." She added, trying to move Astrid out of the way.

"Well, actually, if it weren't for her help I don't think any of us would be here right now," He turned to face Astrid. "I couldn't have done it without her." He smiled and a slow smile played it's way onto her lips at his words. She leaned in and rewarded him with a grateful peck on his lips. Naomi mentally growled, seeing her tactic didn't work.

Finally, they reached the arena. The gang had left by now and were gone back somewhere on Berk as it was almost past sunset. As they reached the doors, Hiccup and Astrid both shared the same look before running in, Hiccup igniting Inferno and Astrid holding out her axe defensively in front of her.

"I'm gonna get you back for that stunt you pulled this morning." Hiccup warned. Astrid chuckled, narrowing her eyes but smirking.

"We'll see." She said. The two charged towards each other, Astrid running faster. Once they met in the middle, Hiccup ducked her attack before hitting her axe with his sword, sending her flying back a bit.

Naomi clapped her hands giddily. "Yay, go Hiccup!" She squealed, giggling. Astrid saw Naomi from the corner of her eyes and it gave her enough adrenaline, as Hiccup neared her, to duck, swipe his legs and tackle him to the ground. She held her axe to his neck again, mirroring their fight from the earlier morning.

Hiccup groaned playfully as Astrid pressed the heel of her foot to his chest somewhat roughly. Hiccup chuckled as he stared at his valkyrie of a girlfriend smirk at her victory.

"No matter what happens, it always seems to end in this position." Hiccup joked. She shook her head, laughing, leaning down to give him her hand so she could help him back up.

Astrid helped Hiccup dust off some dirt on his shirt. Her eyes moved from his chest where her hands were to meet his forest green ones. She smiled as she realised all she could see behind those green and gold flecks in his eyes was pure adoration for her.

Maybe she shouldn't let Naomi get to her.

"Round three?" She offered and Hiccup opened his mouth to speak when Naomi came into the conversation, uninvited.

"Actually, Hiccup was going to take me on a flight since I've never been on a dragon before." She recalled. Hiccup turned from looking at Naomi to Astrid, giving her an apologetic expression.

"Shoot, Astrid. I'm sorry, I forgot." He said sheepishly. Astrid chuckled, patting his shoulder.

"It's fine, Hiccup." He sighed in relief. He faced Naomi again.

"Okay, then let me go get Toothless." And with that he left in search of the one-tailed, unique dragon.

Astrid watched her betrothed as he disappeared into the distance but as soon as she looked back at Naomi, her face went from sweet and innocent to evil and scowling in millisecond. Naomi took a step toward Astrid, really getting close to get her point across.

"Okay, listen here, you," She spat as if Astrid wasn't worth anything, like she was better off dead. Astrid immediately glared at the toxic girl in front of her.

"You leave Hiccup alone. He doesn't want you. No one wants you. You're just some average girl who thinks she's something, thinks she's not like all the other girls and that she's special except you're really not. The world would be better off with you dead. I mean seriously. Hiccup would be better off if you just killed yourself. Hah, maybe that way you could join your pethetic excuse of a father."

Astrid felt her fierce facade start to crumble. She had been interrogated by the toughest of villains in the entire Archipelago yet it was some brat that was going to break her? She started to slowly believe the things Naomi had said to her. She wanted to cry until Naomi got to the last sentence. Her father.

Astrid's father was an incredibly sensitive subject for her. Her father died when she was younger, four to be exact, and she still wasn't over it. Astrid felt the anger wash over, clouding her vision as she gripped her axe tighter and held it close to Naomi's face, glaring daggers at the girl.

"Okay, you can disrespect me all you like, but my father, my family name? I don't think so." She threatened, however Naomi seemed unfazed by the words. "Didn't your father ever tell you about manners with a guest? Well, I guess he wasn't around long enough to teach you that, was he?" Naomi remarked smugly.

That was the last straw for Astrid.

She pulled her by the collar of her shirt and brought her axe closer to her throat. "That's it! I'm gonna-"

"Astrid?! What on earth do you think you're doing? Naomi's a guest! You're scaring her!" Hiccup scolded from the other side of the arena where he stood with Toothless at his side, fuming.

Astrid whipped her head around to the sound of the voice. Naomi smirked before bursting out into tears.

"Oh, Hiccup! Thank the Gods you're here! One minute it was normal when she held her axe to my throat and threatened to kill me!" She wailed in a voice that Astrid found sickeningly fake.

Astrid stood still, paralysed with her mouth agape. She couldn't believe what was happening.

Hiccup ran over to Naomi and pulled her away from Astrid, glaring at her before turning back to the crying girl, bringing her close. "Come on, Naomi. Let's go on that flight." She nodded and he started helping her to where Toothless was, staring at Astrid with a disappointed expression in his eyes.

Astrid could've sworn she saw Naomi grin but she hid it with another cry as the two flew off on Toothless.

Astrid just stared in shock. She felt as if her mind was in a coma, aware of everything that was happening except it was asleep, no telling when it would wake up. She stood there for another good for minutes before something liquid fell off her cheek and landed next to her foot, creating a darker colour on the concrete of the arena. It seemed to snap Astrid out of her thoughts and she realised she was crying. She silently cursed, not willing to believe that she cried because of another girl. Although, she knew it was more than that. She was crying because Hiccup was angry at her, disappointed, any other feeling that no one wanted to be the cause of.

Astrid picked up her axe before walking home, feeling the rain start to pour down onto her but she couldn't care less. She continued to walk, not giving a damn about catching hypothermia, a cold, the flu. She just didn't care.

Astrid opened the door to her house. She shuddered and shivered as she entered, leaving a trail of wet foot prints. She hugged herself, rubbing her bare arms up and down to create heat even though it was failing miserably. Astrid's entire body was shaking, her lips wobbled and she was taking short steps. She tried her best to make it to her bedroom, leaning on anything, the wall, the chairs, the table, for support as she made her way up the stairs and into her room. She changed from her wet clothes to some dry nightwear. She sighed as she went under the covers of her bed. The walk must've been about twenty minutes long and she was completely drenched. She sighed, closing her eyes, wanting to forget about the previous events of that evening.

But something told her it was going to be impossible to do that tomorrow.

Astrid wandered around Berk, feeling upset from last night. She also felt immense anger but the sadness seemed to outweigh it. She carried on with her day as normal, which was hard because most of her day consisted of the scrawny one legged boy she had grown accustomed to. Speaking of....

Astrid stood in front of the forge, debating in her head whether she should go in or not. She wanted to talk about what happened last night with Hiccup, set things straight. She exhaled as she took a tenacious step towards the door of the forge. The door was slightly cracked open but before Astrid could open it, she heard two voices in there.

"Oh, Hiccup, you're so smart! You invent all these amazing things, how do yo do it?" Astrid heard Naomi compliment. Then she heard Hiccup let out a small chuckle. "I dunno really. I-"

Astrid gasped as she watched Naomi cut him off by pulling him to her...and kissing him. Astrid would've gone in and broke them apart but instead she stood there like an idiot before she couldn't bear it anymore. She ran off, she didn't know where she didn't care where. A misunderstanding was one thing...but this? It was too much for Astrid's heart to take.

She ran until the concrete paths had stopped and the distant voices of random Viking villagers started to fade and the ground beneath her feet started to turn into long, uncut grass, her surroundings going from houses and people to just trees. Astrid finally stopped running until she reached a deep part if the woods she was sure was far away from everyone. She panted, leaning her back against the wall of a cliff. She felt the urge to cry again and this time she did but instantly wiped them away. Even in private, she felt she couldn't cry.

Astrid reached under her shirt, pulling out her most prized possession. Hiccup's betrothal gift. Originally from his father to his mother. She cherished it with her life, wearing it at all times. She kept it under her shirt for safety reasons but other than that it was always there. Astrid heard a twig break and immediately snapped her head upwards, ready to defend herself. In her moment of pain, she had forgotten her axe and now she was going to regret it.

Astrid scanned the area for any threats. "Who's there?" She called out. She didn't get a reply for a few seconds until, "Ugh, won't you just die already?"

Astrid rolled her eyes and scoffed hearing Naomi's voice, not wanting to talk to either her or Hiccup right now. She looked to her side to see Naomi walking towards her, emerging from the trees nearer to the village. "Why are you here?" Astrid asked in a mean tone.

Naomi huffed. "Just letting you know that you don't stand a chance against me. Hiccup doesn't love you, who would?" Naomi snorted as she took in Astrid's appearance. Astrid scowled. Naomi's eyes trailed over Astrid until they caught on the pendant Astrid had around her neck. Naomi reached forward and snatched it off her.

"Hey! Give that back!" Astrid protested but instead Naomi started to run away with it. Astrid run after her until they reached the end of the forest and a big cliff. Naomi smirked. "Fine, if you want it," She toyed with the necklace in her hand. Astrid clenched her fists. "Then go get it."

Before Astrid knew it, Naomi had thrown the betrothal gift over the cliff and Astrid gasped in horror. "No!" Without thinking, she hurried to the very edge of the cliff, thankfully catching it but unfortunately losing her balance and falling off. Thankfully, again, she grabbed onto a branch that stuck out from the cliff last minute. She groaned and gasped as she felt some of the branch stick into her hand, blood oozing down her arm. From the top, Naomi laughed triumphantly. She crossed her arms smugly.

"Who would ever want you?" She snickered.

"I have a few things to say about that." A new voice said, dripping with hidden anger.

Astrid sighed from below that Hiccup was here, still not entirely happy for to see him but it was better than falling of this stupid cliff. Her relief was cut short though when the branch weakened from her grasp, breaking slightly and making her cry in pain as the branch broke with some if it still in her hand.

Naomi spun around to be greeted by a very angry Hiccup, pretending to sigh in relief. "Hiccup, you're here! She attacked me again so I pushed her back but she fell off the cliff!" She explained, but Hiccup wasn't listening to any of it. He jumped off of Toothless, who was growling angrily at the girl. He roughly pushed passed her and kneeled down on the edge of the cliff to see Astrid's predicament. He winced when he saw her hand has caught in the branch and how it was almost about to break.

Hiccup ran back to Toothless, fixing his prosthetic into the saddle. "What are you doing?" Naomi asked incredulously. Hiccup glared at her. "I'm making sure my girlfriend doesn't fall to her death off a cliff!" He stated obviously, flying down to where Astrid was dangling for dear life.

Hiccup made Toothless get as close as possible to the cliff side. "Astrid, I'm so sorry. I should've listened to-"

"Maybe we can talk about this when I'm not hanging off a cliff?" She urged but then screamed slightly when the branch broke even more. Hiccup nodded determinedly. He carefully picked her up and sat her on his lap but her hand was still attached to the branch. Astrid winced when she had to move her hand. Hiccup sighed. "Okay, Astrid, I'm going to have to pull the branch out." He said, dreading the thought of her in so much pain. She closed her eyes shut. "Just do it."

Hiccup exhaled deeply. "On the count of three,"

"One," He gripped the stick.

"Two-" He yanked it out swiftly, leaving a pool of blood to form on Astrid's hand and she screamed loudly, eyes on the verge of tears but she held them in.

Hiccup bit his lip after hearing her scream of utter pain. He quickly flew back up to the top of the cliff, where Naomi stood impatiently. Hiccup hopped off Toothless with Astrid still in his arms and sprawled her out on the soft, green grass.

Naomi scoffed. "Finally, now come on, I don't know how to get back and you have to take me." She whined, stomping her foot.

"Well, it's going to be a long walk then." He replied and Astrid somehow chuckled hoarsely. Naomi huffed.

"Ugh, this is all because of her. She's just some stupid girl that only has the Hofferson name to hold on to. You don't love her, Hiccup. I thought you were a smart guy, not one to fall for a lousy village peasant girl. I thought our kiss meant something. You did kiss me back after all." Naomi said, smirking. Astrid felt her whole figure collapse even more at the last sentence. Why was it always the last sentence that got her?

Because Hiccup's back was facing her, she couldn't see the amount of fury and rage in his eyes as he clenched his fists and hardened his jaw. He snapped his head around, narrowing his eyes at Naomi. "You know what, Naomi? You can find your own way back to the village. How dare you come to our island and degrade one of us? Astrid is my betrothed and she has been by my side my whole life. Leave, now, or Toothless will make you." Hiccup ordered and Toothless growled, showing off his small but sharp teeth as Naomi gulped and crossed her arms.

"My father will hear about this!" She yelled as she ran away. Hiccup rolled his eyes before facing back to a wounded Astrid. His expression immediately softened at her condition and he whistled for Toothless, the dragon walking over and Hiccup grabbed the emergency medical supplies from his saddle bag. No words were said as Hiccup disinfected the cut. Hiccup had to bite his lip from time to time just to stop himself from whimpering at the sight of her.

Astrid refused to make eye contact, keeping her eyes focused on something in the background. She hissed as the disinfectant seeped into her cut. Hiccup flinched. "Sorry." He whispered. He finished that and then cleaned the blood from her hands before wrapping it neatly in a bandage. Astrid brought her hand to her lap as she sat upright. Hiccup helped her up, sitting down opposite her. They stayed in an awkward silence before Hiccup broke it.

"Astrid, I didn't kiss her back, I swear. She kissed me unexpectedly and I tried to pull away as soon as she did. I don't love her and I never will. I love yo-"

Hiccup's rambling was interrupted when something soft and warm pressed against his lips. He widened his eyes slightly in shock but soon absorbed himself into the kiss. He reached a hand up to cup her cheek while the other snaked around her waist, pulling her impossibly closer to him. Astrid draped he arms over his shoulders. They pulled apart after a few minutes, panting as they smiled at each other, foreheads touching. "Kissing you feels so much better." He sighed happily. Astrid giggled.

"I forgive you." She whispered. Hiccup felt like he could cry for a different reason now. "I'm really sorry about everything else, though. I ignored you and I should've listened to your side of the story instead of storming off-" Astrid pushed a finger to his lips. "It's okay, Hiccup. You don't have to keep apologising." She reassured. Hiccup frowned. "So... what happened?" He pondered.

Astrid frowned too. "Well, after you left to get Toothless, Naomi basically told me that no one wanted me and you'd be better off if I killed myself so I could join my father." Astrid confessed and Hiccup felt a part of him break at the thought of Astrid doing something like that. He didn't think he'd be able to cope. Hiccup let a single tear roll down his cheek. Astrid wiped it away for him. "Then, she started going off about my dad and...I just snapped."

Hiccup tightened his arms around her. "I saw you. At the forge. I saw her kiss you. I couldn't take it so I ran off but then Naomi came. She started going on about me and you then she took the betrothal necklace and threw it off the cliff. I went to catch it and that's how I fell." Hiccup leaned in and kissed her longingly and sweetly, pouring all his sadness, anger and guilt into it. When they pulled away, he gazed lovingly into her eyes.

"Don't ever believe a single word she says. I will always love you, that's what this means," He gestured to the pendant. "You're wanted, you're loved, by me, the gang, my dad and your mom. And...if you...." Hiccup swallowed. "Killed yourself...I definitely would not be better off. I don't think anyone would." He shuddered at the vision. Astrid gave him a small smile and tackled him to the ground, Hiccup lying on his back with Astrid's face in his neck and her arms around his neck while Hiccup held her waist. Hiccup took in her scent, happy they were on track again. Astrid peppered kissed all over his neck, jaw, under his jaw and cheek. Hiccup chuckled at her feathered touch.

"Love you too, by the way." Astrid mumbled into his skin, laying on top of him.

"I know." Hiccup whispered, pressing a soft kiss to the side of her head.
