    Summary

It was just a job, something to get him on his feet again after his discharge. It was supposed to just look good on his resume when he went to apply for the academy, but the pay was so nice that it was hard to just walk away suddenly, even if he'd always wanted to become a detective. So, for Jay, it was just another job.
Except that, for Jay, it wasn’t just a job, at least, not at the end.
Not after Gregory Gerwitz the fourth.
