Kipo was washing the dishes in the kitchen when suddenly, her two siblings ran down the stairs. Hugo was after Wolf again as usual, it was nothing to be worried about. Wolf just had an interest in annoying her big brother since she had just officially gotten adopted to the Oak Family.
The two was yelling insults at each other, just as usual. Hugo was teasing Wolf about her hair and her height while Wolf teased Hugo about his noble way of living and his size, since he was nearly double as big as her. He was an adult mandrill after all. But after a while, they started getting on a bit sensitive topics.
"At least I have better clothing than the disgusting wolf you were wearing!" Hugo said, reminding Wolf of her old pelt she had thrown away after five years of wearing it.
"I'm not wearing it anymore! And at least I wasn't a tyrant monkey-man who forced humans to be brainwashed!" Wolf said and Hugo gasped at the reminding of his past and his terrible mistake that he regretted a lot.
"Well... At least I didn't get hunted down by my family for being an unwanted mistake!" Hugo said and Wolf gasped, not saying anything back which had Hugo regret his choice of words.
Wolf looked down to the ground, her big hair hiding her face as she let out a sniffle. Her hands turned into fists, but she didn't attack her brother, she wasn't that kind of kid who did that anymore. Instead, she looked up at Hugo with a sad expression, her bottom lip in a pout as her eyes turned glassy.
"That was too far..." Wolf said, holding back a sob as she just stood there, looking up at her big brother who frowned as he didn't want to see his little sister this sad.
"Hey, I'm sorry." Hugo said in shame as he walked up to Wolf and bent down to ehr height.
His arms reached out towards her and he wrapped her up in a hug. When Wolf was close enough to his face, she spit in his eye which had him yelp and retreat as he backed away from Wolf who had a big grin on her face. She started giggling as her big brother tried to get the spit out of his eye that had started to sting.
"Haha, I got you!" Wolf cheered before running off as Hugo was able to open his eyes again and chase after her with an angry growl, angry that she had tricked him like that.
Like the annoying little kid she was, Wolf ran into her parents' bedroom and hid behind them when Hugo came rushing. Wolf stuck out her tongue at Hugo with a grin on her face as he realized that Song and Lio definitely would protect Wolf, as the nice parents they were. Wolf was a lot younger than Hugo and wanted to have fun, so they often let her as long as she didn't go too far.
Hugo groaned annoyed before leaving the room as he went back to his own room to play the piano and ignore Wolf if she decided to annoy him again. When Hugo left, Wolf thanked her parents before deciding to stay with them a bit as their bed was cuddly and they had a lot of space for her in it.
She smiled to herself, knowing that she had won another fight. Hugo's words had actually hurt her a bit since he had called her an unwanted mistake, but she knew that he didn't mean that and that the Oak's actually wanted her. She also didn't want to let him win by getting to her feelings, so she held it back and ended the fight, and she would never stop annoy her brother. Not ever.
