It was 9PM in Las Vistas, the Oak Family was just hanging around in their house. Kipo was cuddling with Song on the sofa. Hugo, who was still recovering from his nearly-death experience was playing the piano, trying to get his fingers to work as he was still trying to learn how to use them again. Benson and Dave was listening to some music from Oz The Originator with Benson's headphones. Lio was making food for the family and Wolf sat om the edge of the dinner table, watching Lio make food.
There was a lot of other things the 10, soon to be eleven year old girl could do, but she just felt like spending time with her family instead of sitting in her room all alone. As Wolf was watching Lio and the food, her stomach made a loud growl out of hunger, causing Lio to turn around to see what had made that sound. When he saw the blush on Wolf's cheeks, he understood and just let out a chuckle, ruffling her hair.
"Hey, could you set the table for me, Wolf? The food will be finished soon." Lio said with a smile as he started to turn off the stove so that the food wouldn't get burned.
Wolf nodded, jumping off the edge of the table as she started to get plates, glasses and cutlery, happy that she finally had something to do. Lio was being so nice and gentle with her, she liked that. It made her feel safe around him since he never got mad at her for doing something wrong.
When the table was set, Lio started putting food on the bowls, calling out to the rest of his family that it was time for food. Kipo was first, immediately rushing to her seat. Benson and Dave came right behind her, the music still playing in Benson's headphones as he was too hungry to care about turning it off. Song waited until Hugo was coming to go to her family as she didn't want to leave her som behind. She smiled at him and walked beside him to the dinner table, sitting down beside him and Lio.
Lio had made cheese burgers and everyone loved them. Wolf couldn't help bit throw the food into her mouth as she felt as if she was starving. And the food was really good too! She had never had hamburger before, but she knew that she would probably ask Lio to make more in the future. When she nearly was finished, she felt her eyes dropping. It was so quiet outside, no unneccesary sounds, it was calming. And with her belly full, Wolf felt the tiredness growing as she relaxed in her seat, leaning backwards for a bit.
Lio noticed and grabbed a tissue to wipe Wolf's mout that had a bit of ketchup around it, since Wolf didn't seem to be concious enough to be doing that herself. He gave song a glare and she just nodded and smiled at her husband. Lio nodded back and stood up, bending down a bit to pick Wolf up. With her secure in his arms, he excused himself as he then carried Wolf to her room.
He laid her down in her bed and tucked her in, feeling her breathing slowing down which announced that she had fallen asleep. Her mouth was halfway open and Lio just smiled at her. He loved his youngest daughter and he was happy that she felt safe enough around him to let him carry her and put her to bed. Only a few months ago, she wouldn't even let Kipo put a hand on her shoulder.
Lio leaned in and gave Wolf a soft kiss on her cheek, he knew that she didn't mind that anymore since the first time he did that. A small smile showed on Wolf's lips and Lio chuckled. He rubbed her cheek with his thumb for a few minutes before he stood up from the edge of her bed and left her room, letting the door stay open to help her against the nightmares he knew she still had.
Then he joined his family by the dinner table again and they continued with their night.
