Work Text:
It was early in the morning, Kipo had just woken up. She went to the kitchen in the new house to get some breakfast. It had only been a month since Dr. Emilia lost the fight, but she finally felt at peace. Well, that feeling didn't last long.
Suddenly, a scream was heard, together with a battle roar. The voices could easily be recognize as Wolf and Hugo. Kipo sighed, and they were at it again. A second later, Wolf was rushing into the kitchen. She quickly hid behind Kipo, wrapping her arms around Kipo's waist as she used Kipo as a shield. Hugo soon joined them, he looked pretty disturbed.
"Where is the little-" he started before he noticed the small form of Wolf who hid behind Kipo with a smirk on her face.
"Hah, you can't take me cause you would never hurt Kipo just to get to me!" Wolf teased as she giggled at Hugo who realized that she was right.
"HOW DARE YOU, YOU IMBECILE CHILD!" Hugo roared as he tried to get around Kipo to get to Wolf, but the child was smart to just go around Kipo while keeping her arms around her waist.
"I CAN'T EVEN UNDERSTAND YOU, MONKEY-MAN!" Wolf said as Hugo tried to get a hold of her blue cloak he had gotten her before Prahm, but he missed.
"IT'S ANOTHER WORD FOR IDIOT!" Hugo roared in annoyance.
"Language!" Kipo corrected, but her words just annoyed her brother even further as he growled while trying to get to Wolf.
"I AM 25!!!!" he said angrily and Wolf stuck her tongue out at him as she made a face which just had him throwing himself at her, but he missed again as Kipo moved away together with Wolf.
"Okay, that's enough! What are you two fighting about?" Kipo demanded to know, and Hugo finally took a break in fighting Wolf as he decided to just tell her his version of the story.
"I was having an incredibly peaceful morning, until a certain disobediant child decided to interrupt me with a high number of weird noises." Hugo explained and Kipo immediately understood what he was talking about.
Dave had found an old toy in the forest a while ago. It had all kinds of different noises and it was mostly used to keep young children occupied in the old world. It had mostly animal voices, but also a lot of other things. It even had a few memes on it like 'Emotional Damage' and so on.
Kipo soon realized that the toy didn't only keep children busy, it kept Wolf busy as well. She had used every button on that thing, and it had made everyone go crazy, but nobody really had the heart to take it away from Wolf as it was the only actual toy she had ever played with an actually liked.
She had a certain.... Interest, in annoying her brother with it, though. She would often stand outside Hugo's door and play with it just to annoy him. He had managed to stand his ground and ignore her for three days now, but now he had had enough and started chasing her.
Kipo looked down at her little sister who looked innocent with her big eyes and tiny pout. She it was the cutest thing ever, but Kipo had to correct her sister before a certain someone would murder another certain someone.
"Wolf, I thought I told you not to annoy Hugo, especially not before he has had his morning tea!" Kipo said and Wolf smirked.
"But it's fun to annoy him." Wolf said and chuckled.
Kipo was just about to have a serious talk with Wolf about boundaries and respect when Hugo spoke up.
"Well, you might look like you're seven, but you aren't one." Hugo said, and Wolf frowned at him at the mention of her height as her now usual relaxed hands turned into fists.
"YOU LITTLE BI-" Wolf started before she remembered how Lio had scolded her the last time she had cursed at someone. "YOU'RE SO DEAD!" she continued instead before letting go of Kipo's waist as she chased after Hugo who immediately rushed out of the kitchen as Wolf was getting deadly dangerous.
As Kipo's siblings was busy running around the house, she walked to Wolf's room to hide the toy. She was certain that the younger girl eventually would forget about it and do something else to annoy Hugo. When she walked out of Wolf's room, she found Wolf and Hugo back in the livingroom.
Hugo was holding Wolf by her feet as the girl hung upside down, her fists swinging to strike him. He started swinging Wolf back and forth instead as she yelled curse words at ehr big brother, demanding that he'd put her down at this instant. But Hugo wasn't listening. Kipo chuckled at her siblings. They did often fight and tell each other pretty mean stuff, but she knew that they somewhere deep, very deep inside loved each other. Deep.
