Work Text:
"The house is fixed, Kipo. You and your family can move in today." Molly, the timbercat, said.
Kipo and her friends and family had stayed in the Timbercat Village as the cats had fixed a house for them. Las Vistas was in ruins after the many years of abandonment and it wasn't safe for anybody to move in.
Therefore, they were getting rid of the old houses and instead tried to make a newer version of them. Kipo was very proud of their work. Everything would change now, but she couldn't be happier.
She had finally a mom to hug and to tell that she loved her, and she also had new siblings who she could do the same to.
Everything was packed and ready. Or atleast, everything they COULD pack was ready. Kipo didn't have much of her own since she had left the Clover, but that was okay. Now she was starting a new life with, her friends and family.
The Timbercats led the Oak's to their very new home. It was a blue house with enormous flowers surrounding it. Kipo had of course chosen the spot. She thought it looked beautiful.
"What do you say, Wolf?" Kipo asked, looking downwards to her little sister who was observing the house.
"I mean... It's fine, I guess?" she said, as always putting on her lone Wolf-mode.
Kipo chuckled. She knew that Wolf liked the house. And now it was time for them to finally move in.
She opened the door and walked in, her family following her from, behind. They all gasped as they saw the inside of the house. There was only plain walls, ready to be customized and it looked so clean and new!
"Come on, guys! Let's check out our new rooms!" Kipo exclaimed, grabbing Benson's and Wolf's arms as she then dragged her siblings up the stairs.
Their rooms were just as plain as the rest of the house. There was only beds placed in each of their rooms. Kipo got the biggest one, since she had a lot of ideas of how her room would look like and the others didn't fit in her vision. Wolf chose the smallest room as she would probably spend the most time outside and she didn't need her so much in her room.
"At least it fits your size, Wolfie." Benson teased, getting a kick on his foot by Wolf at his comment about her size.
Benson got the middle-sized room. He would share it with Dave for the time being before Benson would move in with Troy. Dave would of course go with him but they didn't need such a big room as they wouldn’t stay for long.
Kipo was filling her bookshelf with books in all different sizes. She had went to the Observatory and grabbed a few books from the Newton Wolves as they had a lot of books about science. For a nerd like her, that was heaven. When she had finished, she left her room to hang out with Wolf. A lot of work was going on outside and going out wasn't an option anymore as Wolf had hoped.
She was stuck inside the house and Kipo knew that Wolf got bored easily, especially when she had nothing to do. As Kipo thought, Wolf was hanging upside down on the edge of her bed, looking into the grey wall. She basically looked as if she was dying which had Kipo chuckling.
"You look like you've seen your best days." Kipo said, sitting down beside Wolf on her bed as Wolf sat back up, feeling a bit dizzy from hanging upside down for so long as she had.
"There is nothing to do. I don't want to be stuck in here!" Wolf groaned and Kipo put a soft hand on Wolf's shoulder.
"I know, but there is a lot of fun stuff to do in here too!" Kipo tried and Wolf raised an eyebrow at her.
"Like what?" the 10-year-old asked with a deep sigh, feeling like whatever Kipo had in mind wouldn't be anything for her.
"Dad found a jump rope. Wanna try?" Kipo asked hopefully, giving Wolf her best puppy dog eyes.
"Fine. But it's not a jump rope. It's a hand-stopper." Wolf said, face dead-serious.
Kipo laughed, she remembered the first time Wolf had said it in Deathstalker Territory. She had thought that it was adorable.
"Fine, Wolf. Whatever you say." Kipo smirked, wrapping an arm around Wolf's shoulders as she led the small girl downstairs to ask their dad for the jump rope.
They got permission to use it in the livingroom since it had a lot of free space and they didn't have to risk destroying anything. Kipo tied one end of the rope to the door as she held the other. She explained the game to Wolf and the child positioned herself. Kipo started the game and Wolf started jumping.
"One. Two. Three. Four-"
~~~
"Threehundredthirtyfour. Threehundred-... WOLF I CAN'T KEEP COUNTING." Kipo groaned and fell down to the ground exhausted.
She had held that rope for around 20 minutes and Wolf hadn't lost even once. Wolf fell into a fit of laughs as she looked at Kipo's exhausted face. She had always been really strong, or at least since the age of five, so this has really been no challenge for her. All she had to do was jump.
"I wasn't finished." Wolf giggled and sat down beside her big sister, smiling big.
"I'm never doing this again. You're too good!" Kipo groaned but smirked anyways to show Wolf that she was just joking.
She would do anything for her baby sister, even if that was to hold a jump rope for days. But it would be worth it just to see Wolf smile.
"Hey, should we check what dad are making for lunch?" Kipo asked and Wolf nodded eagerly, standing up as she dragged Kipo up from the floor.
They walked into the kitchen and saw Lio making Pasta Alla Carbonara. Kipo loved it, but Wolf had never had anything like that before. She barely knew what pasta was. When Lio had finished the food, everyone gathered around the table and started eating. When Wolf had tasted it, she immediately fell in love with it and ate even faster. She would have to ask her dad for more later on in the future, she was sure of it.
