Summary
“Eddie?”
A figure was standing right where they’d left Eddie’s body. It turned, and Steve felt a chill go up his spine. Whoever it was definitely looked like Eddie, but he had started marching towards him like a complete stranger. Steve couldn’t help but reach out for him anyway.
“Eddie, how? What? Are you-”
He was still attempting to formulate a complete sentence when a vine shot up from the ground and curled around his neck, tightening. The stranger eyed him in silence as he writhed on the ground, struggling and failing to free himself. Steve’s last thought before slipping into the darkness was how he’d never seen Eddie’s eyes look so cold.
Stranger Things 4 Fix-it, aka what if Eddie had survived the demobat attack only to be possessed by Vecna? And what if Steve went after him only to be captured himself, leaving the rest of the Party to deal with their loss? Story of a found family finding each other again.
