Uncomfortable. If he had to choose another word besides "disinterest," that would be it.
Kim Rok Soo, now known as Cale Henituse, had never felt particular interest in absolutely anyone during his three-plus decades alive; he had originally thought that was a temporary problem that he would eventually get over, end up falling in love with someone and starting a family like the one he had been unable to have. It never happened.
Now, in another world and another body, he still felt exactly the same. He wondered if the original owner of this body had felt the same way he did, with the unconscious pressure that someday he would have to have heirs whether his parents were going to ask for it or not.
It wasn't his problem but it wasn't easy for him not to sympathize either, he himself had made peace with his apparent inability to love romantically long ago, and he hoped Cale had too.
Looking at the strange family he had formed over time he couldn't contain his smile. He had believed at some point in the past that if he couldn't care for someone he could never have a real family, now he was glad he was wrong.
