"Babe, are you sure about this?" Kojiro asked as they pulled up to their local nightclub, Séance, and Kaoru sighed, "Yes, I'm sure, this will be fun!"

"But we skipped Spaghetti Saturday!" Kojiro whined dramatically, resting his chin on Karou's shoulder as the other man pursed his lips at him.

Spaghetti Saturday was their Saturday night tradition, where they would wait until the kids went to sleep and order spaghetti from their favorite Italian restaurant, Provino's. Then, they spent the rest of the night in bed, stuffing their faces while watching a stupid romcom they found on Netflix.

"I wanted to watch A Christmas Prince!" Kojiro huffed as he sat up, and Kaoru arched an eyebrow at him, "It's the middle of September, Kojiro."

"That doesn't matter."

Kaoru rolled his eyes and unbuckled before opening his car door, "It'll be fine! Plus, we haven't done this in a while, it'll be good to try something different."

"Alrighty," Kojiro shrugged and opened his own car door, "You know I trust you."

The two got out and walked around their car to the sidewalk, and Kaoru held onto his arm as they walked alongside the building to the entrance. After their IDs were checked, they walked inside and immediately cringed at the loud, pulsing music and intense lights.

"Uhhh- Wow," Kojiro said, blinking rapidly as he looked around, "This is.. interesting.."

"Aren't those girls cold?" Kaoru asked, staring at a group of girls who looked way too young to be at a nightclub, wearing skimpy clothing and tall heels that looked like they would break off if the girls set their foot down the wrong way.

"Let's-.. Let's just go sit down," Kojiro mumbled quietly, and Kaoru nodded and let his husband lead him over to one of the shiny black couches lining the walls. As they sat down, Kojiro noticed Kaoru gripping his arm extra-tightly, "You okay?" He asked.

"I'm starting to think this was a mistake," The pinkette responded, and Kojiro reached over to squeeze Kaoru's hand, "Don't worry," he tried to reason with him, "we're just out of practice."

Kaoru nodded a bit, and Kojiro tapped his leg, "I'm gonna go get us some drinks, mkay?"

Kaoru nodded again, slowly letting his hands slip off of Kojiro's arm so the other man could get up and walk over to the bar, where he leaned against the counter to speak to the bartender, "Can I get two beers for me and my husband?"

The bartender nodded, and Kojiro looked around the place as he waited, gazing at the 20-something-year-olds in the middle of the room, grinding against each other and dancing like it was their last night on Earth.

Kojiro remembered when he and Kaoru could dance like that that, nowadays even thinking about getting that low to the floor made his back hurt. Heck, he couldn't even get up off the couch without making sound effects.

He got the drinks and began to head back to where Kaoru was sitting, and he got halfway back when he saw something that made him freeze.

Two people were sitting on either side of Kaoru, a man and a woman, two very attractive people, Kojiro had to admit, but still people who weren't him. Not to mention they were practically all over his husband, groping him and flirting as Kaoru sat in the middle of it, looking very uncomfortable.

Their gazes met, and Kojiro saw the message in Kaoru's eyes, "Help, please."

Kojiro felt his mouth curl into a scowl, and he stalked over to the trio and slammed the beers down on the low table in front of them.

"Whoa! What's your deal?" The guy scoffed, giving him a look as Kojiro glared at him, "What do you think my deal is?"

"Uhm- if you don't mind," the woman replied rudely, curling her red lips at him in a look of disdain, "We were talking to this-" she smiled at Kaoru, who widened his eyes and scooted as far away as he could, "Very handsome man here."

"Yeah, so we'd appreciate it if you could get lost," the man told him with a mean grin as he stood up, and Kojiro narrowed his eyes at him, "Oh, really?"

"Yeah, reaaaaaal-...!" The man began to sneer, but his voice trailed off as Kojiro stood up to his full height, for once thankful for his 6'1 frame towering over the guy, whose eyes widened as he craned his neck back.

"Holy crap," the man said, "You-..You're big."

"Yeah, I've been told that before," Kojiro grinned maliciously as the man stumbled backward turning to his friend, who was already getting off the couch as she gawked at Kojiro.

The two scrambled away, and Kojiro scoffed and sat down next to Kaoru, who was staring at his lap silently, and Kojiro put an arm around him and squeezed a bit, "Are you okay?"

Kaoru looked up at him, then he hugged himself and said quietly, "Can-..Can we go home?"

Kojiro blinked, then he nodded, "Y-Yeah, of course."

A few minutes later, they were on the road toward home, and Kaoru was being eerily quiet, staring out the window at the dark scenery as they drove down the vacant street. Kojiro looked at him in the rear-view mirror, "Do you wanna.. talk about it?"

"No." Kaoru responded, and Kojiro put his lips into a thin line, looking straight ahead.

There were a few more seconds of silence, then Kaoru spoke up again, "That really scared me.."

Kojiro looked back over to see Kaoru with his hands in his lap, sitting stiffly as he stared at the floor of the car, "I-I don't know why.. but I was terrified.."

"Of course you were," Kojiro replied, "Kaoru, there's no reason why you shouldn't have been scared, that was really creepy of those two, coming over and touching you like that without your permission.."

Kaoru nodded slowly, then he spoke again, "Promise me one thing? Let's never go to a club again."

Kojiro nodded, he was more than happy to agree with that, "Promise."

The second they walked into the house, Kaoru saw the kids sitting in the living room and made a beeline for them, tackling them all in a hug like a professional football linebacker as they all screamed in shock.

" AAAAAAAHHHHHH  IT' S A MONSTER!"
"PAPA?! WHAT THE HECK?"
"YOU 'RE  CRUSHING USSSSSSS!"

"MY BABIES, I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!" Kaoru practically sobbed as he held them, and Kadence exclaimed, "You were only gone for two hours!"

All three kids looked up to stare at Kojiro, who ran a hand through his hair as he sighed deeply and folded his arms, "He had a long night."

"The longest," Kaoru's muffled voice came from Reki's neck as he squeezed his children tighter.

Eventually, Kaoru released them and followed Kojiro upstairs, where they both collapsed next to each other on their bed and stared at the ceiling in silence.

"Why was that so rough for us?" Kojiro suddenly spoke, and Kaoru shrugged, "I guess.. we've just grown out of that whole party scene."

The pinkette's brow furrowed, "I haven't been hit on in 14 years.. it really freaked me out."

He turned his head over to look at Kojiro, "Thank you for protecting me," he said with a smile, and Kojiro smiled back, "Yeah of course, Its my job to protect you."

"I don't know why I thought we'd still be into that," Kaoru mused, and Kojiro sighed, "Well, now we know.. we're officially too old to go out and party."

They both chuckled, then Kaoru rolled onto his side and propped himself up, "You know," he said with a small smile, "It's only nine-o-clock, so Privino's is still open.."

Kojiro turned his head to look at him, grinning at his husband as he put his hands behind his head, "Spaghetti Saturday?"

Kaoru grinned as well, "I'll order the food, you turn on the TV?"

"Deal."

[Half An Hour Later]

"Ahhh~ This is the life," Kojiro sighed, putting down his takeout plate of spaghetti and resting his head on the headboard with a lazy smile. Kaoru hummed a bit as he twirled more pasta around his plastic fork, "Is it just me, or does this spaghetti taste a thousand times better than usual?"

"It's delicious," Kojiro replied as he lifted his head back to their second rom-com of the night, "I love how boring we are."

"Same." Kaoru agreed, "I can't believe we thought going out clubbing would be better than this luxury," he said, taking another bite and talking with his mouth full, "I've eaten so much pasta, with so much salt, I can feel my ankles swelling, and I don't even care."

".. Kaoru?"

"Mmhm?"

"What happened to all the garlic bread?"

"..."

"...Kaoru, we talked about this-"

"I-IVE HAD A LONG NIGHT OKAY? LET ME INDULGE IN MY GUILTY PLEASURE."
