Work Text:

"Man, you really suck at this game, Grian." Sam grinned as he landed another hit on Grian's character.

Grian frowned. His hands weren't working right and he kept forgetting the controls. It's not his fault he doesn't play smash bros that often.

"Stoppit." He mumbled to Sam, who ignored him, continuing his teasing.

"Just get better. It's not that hard of a game, I can't believe you're so bad at it." Sam laughed as he killed Grian's character.

Grian scowled. Sam had been making fun of him the entire time they'd been playing the game, and he was sick of it.

He shot Sam a glare. "Stop being mean, Sam."

Sam rolled his eyes. "Don't be a baby. You're fine."

Grian was done. He picked up his controller and threw it at Sam, hitting him in the head. He then stood up and ran off, tears streaming down his face.

Sam sat there, frowning as he rubbed his head where the controller hit him. Ow.

Grian sniffed as he curled into a ball on his bed, wrapping his blanket around him. Sam was mean. He didn't like mean people.

Grian jumped when he heard Sam clear his throat. He was standing in the doorway with a slightly annoyed look on his face.

Sam sighed. "Taurtis told me I had to apologize. I don't understand why, because you're the one who hit me. Whatever. Sorry." He crossed his arms, looking at Grian expectantly.

Grian furrowed his eyebrows. "Okay…" He pulled his blanket tighter around him as Sam took a step closer.

"You're supposed to say it back." Sam frowned as Grian shook his head. "Well why not?"

"Mean." Sam rolled his eyes.

"I'm mean? You could've given me a concussion!" Grian winced when Sam shouted. His voice felt like sandpaper rubbing against Grian's ears.

"Go away. Mean." Sam let out a huff, turning around and storming off. Grian made no sense sometimes.
