Summary
After the brass had left, Maverick had hovered back with the rest of the team for a moment. He’d looked every year of his age when he’d suggested, quietly but firmly, that they should stick close for their time off, saying that the Bradshaws had a house nearby that should fit the whole team if need be. Jake’s shrink always tells him he can’t isolate himself after the hard missions, and the other pilots must have been getting the same advice because there hadn’t been a single protest.
Our favourite pilots get a month to recuperate after the Suicide-Mission-That-Wasn't and they all bunk at Rooster's house. Things would be a lot easier if the history between Jake and Bradley could stop trying to bubble back to the surface.
