"Can I help--" Goro starts as he opens the door, and then drops his pleasant tone instantly when the figure whirls around.
It's Akira, fucking Kurusu Akira that should be dead. Goro shot him in the head himself, and yet here he is, at Goro's doorstep less than a week later, looking like absolute shit but very, very alive.
"I killed Shido," Akira blurts, and Goro's grip on the door tightens. "I didn't -- I'm sorry. I didn't know where else to go."
