Mine

Summary: Akito has gained a bit of notoriety from his character designs. An, who started a Podcast with Kohane, wants to have him on as a guest. He shouldn't have trusted them.

When An invites him into her podcast, he thinks nothing of it. Sure the podcast would be shared with a lot of people, but it wouldn't be the first time he's had a lot of eyes on him. And besides, he's missed talking to An and Kohane face to face. He'd vehemently deny it, if anyone asked him about it though. 

An and Kohane live a bit far away from where he is, so on the day of the recording, he wakes up bright and early, at 6am. Not like he tended to sleep in anyways. He makes breakfast and packs a bag with little snacks and, after a bit of debating, he also brings his notebook. When he is done he goes to wake Rui, by toppling onto him. At the small ‘oof’ he giggles a little, but gives Rui a kiss in apology. Rui rolls to lie on his back, causing Akito to slip off of him. He lands on the mattress though, so it's all good. Rui groggily rubs his eyes and yawns. After a while he peers at Akito, who smiles up at him.

“Mrrn.” Rui is still half asleep. Akito wouldn't have woken him up usually, but he doesn't feel like taking the train and they don't have a car. Not that he has a license anyway. “Wake. Up! Breakfast is done and if you stay asleep it'll go cold.” Rui slowly blinks the sleep out of his eyes and sighs.

He watches Akito get back up and walk into the kitchen. The sunlight is filtering through their windows, making Akito’s hair glow a little and Rui decides getting woken up was worth it. 

After another minute of laying in bed, he follows his husband and arrives at a set table. Today their breakfast is pancakes. Again. Probably for the third day in a row. Rui doesn't mind though. He likes anything Akito cooks, well, except vegetables. And besides pancakes can be paired with many different things, so it's not like every day they've had the exact same food.

Today, Akito had added blueberries into the batter. It looks almost purple now! Rui takes a sip of his coffee and smiles. He hadn't liked them as much before, but mornings had quickly become his favorite, when Akito and he moved together. There was something inherently soft about them. Sigh~ Akito looked beautiful bathed in the morning rays. The only better sight was when Akito went red when they- ehem. Too early for those thoughts. Especially when Akito had somewhere to be.

They leisurely eat their food, between soft conversations. When they're done Akito gives Rui a peck on his lips and gets up to get changed. Rui cleans the table, then follows Akito to their bedroom. Akito holds out some clothes for him. It's just a comfortable sweater and jeans, but it makes Rui happy anyway. He likes that Akito takes the time to pick out clothes for him. Sometimes Akito would choose out more detailed outfits and other times, like today, it was just stuff he knew Rui liked to wear. Either way Rui knows at least a little thought went into it.

When they're done changing, Akito, similar to Rui, just wears a sweater and jeans, albeit in different colors, they make their way to Rui’s bike.

While they drive they listen to music. It's a playlist they made together. As such both WxS and VBS songs have made their way into it. Additionally, Akito had insisted on adding N25 and MMJ songs, whereas Rui insisted on L/n songs. He hadn't been surprised about the N25 songs, but MMJ? When he'd asked, Akito had just replied that his sister's friend was in it. Rui suspected that it was also because despite his image, Akito actually really likes cute stuff. There's also some other songs on the playlist, but those don't hold as much of a personal note to them.

After a while they arrive. Rui complains a little that they only got halfway through the playlist. He gets a pat on the head for that and Akito tells him that they'll just have to listen to the rest on their way back. Rui nods and makes Akito promise to call him if something is up. They bid each other goodbye with a light kiss and Rui drives off again. He needs to buy supplies for some builds, so it was a good thing Akito woke him so early, he won't have to wait ages to pay, since at 10 am, most people would be at work.

Akito, after Rui drives off, rings the bell to An and Kohanes place. He doesn't have to wait long before the door opens. It's Kohane who greets him and invites him inside, explaining that An is still getting changed since she got up just a few minutes ago. He laughs a little. He'll definitely be holding that over her head for a while.

When An finally shows, the three of them just spend a bit of time catching up first. Sure they text, but it's different from actually talking and they're not in a rush. It reminds him of highschool and he wishes Touya were with them. He however, was off in a different country doing some fancy science man shit, Akito is too dumb to understand. Touya seems to have fun though, at least that's the impression Akito gets when they call each other, so he's happy for him. He also misses Miku, Meiko and the other virtual singers. He still visits sometimes, but since Vivid BAD isn't really a performing group anymore, he didn't do it nearly as much as back in highschool. They had been scared that the Sekai would disappear when they fulfilled their goal, but luckily that hadn't been the case. For some reason though, it's almost like each of them has their own Street Sekai now, with Kohane and An sharing one. Miku had explained that the Street Sekai adapted to their real life location. Akito thought that was pretty cool, but it's unfortunate that they can't meet up even in the Sekai.

After a bit of catching up, An exclaims that they should start recording and Akito follows her and Kohane to where they would do so.

At first, the questions he got asked were really standard, just him introducing himself and what he does, a bit about what highschool and VBS had been like. Then, about an hour in, the conversation slowly drifted off to his personal life, most importantly, it started drifting off to Rui. Before Akito can steer the conversation away from it, An pulls out the Tweet. The one, where Rui had just tweeted out a picture of Akito with a cheesy caption. He can feel heat rush to his face and he groans, hiding his face in his hands. He can hear Kohane chuckling nervously and An fully laughing. He should've knoooown. He groans again and looks back up.

“C’mon Akito~ The fans want to know what you think about this!” He should've knooownnn. An is still laughing and even Kohane can't hide an amused smile. Those traitors. When An has calmed down, he clears his throat. “Well. All I can say is… I've been betrayed! First by my husband and now by my friends, trust none of them!” An laughs again, but doesn't seem satisfied with the answer and asks again. “Oh come on~ there's gotta be more you want to say~'' He thinks for a bit and obliges. “I guess? Uhm… well. It's sweet, I guess?” He's really bad with all this mushy stuff… “And uh well… Rui if you hear this, I love you but holy shit I think I might die if you do that again.” Luckily for him, before An can ask another question about it, Kohane intervenes. He should get her something as a thanks, she just saved his life! There are a few more questions about Rui though and he is very flustered throughout the whole segment.

Later, Rui comes to get him. Akito thinks it's a good thing he won't know what he said until the episode airs. When it does he should probably hide. He can't take anymore embarrassment.

He forgets about the episode for a while, but one morning, he's fucking trending and he realizes that An has uploaded the episode. He wishes the ground would open up and swallow him before Rui opens Twitter and sees.

Rui already knows. It's one of those days when he's up hours before Akito and his husband is very, very red, when he gets into the kitchen. Rui is already there, having prepared breakfast this time. It's just rice with stir fried egg and their respective coffees. As Akito sits down he chuckles. He should get An a thank you gift. Flustered Akito is really too cute. Their breakfast is eaten in silence, but neither of them mind. Akito doesn't have to endure any teasing and Rui gets to take in the wonderful sight. 

When they're done, with eating and cleaning the table, Rui hugs Akito by the waist. He can feel Akito bury his face in Rui’s neck and he smiles. Akito’s face is still warm. He hits Akito’s leg lightly and his husband loops them around him, to let Rui carry him to their couch. When he sits down, Akito on top of him, he takes Akito’s face into his hands and makes him look at Rui. The blush has faded for the most part, but Akito is still looking a bit bashful and won't meet Rui’s eyes. Rui doesn't quite understand why Akito gets so flustered about saying cute or soft things, when he has no problem saying more vulgar stuff, but it's hopelessly endearing to him.

He presses a kiss against Akito’s nose, his husband scrunching it up in response. Rui prefers having Akito to himself though. As fun as showing the world his cuteness was, some things should just be theirs.
