    There has only ever been fire in her world, all she has ever known. It's the haze that framed her earliest memory of grief, the bridge she had stepped on - a newfound coffin of her parents - commemorating the day her world fell apart, splattering blood on metal floors not even the most vigorous of thunderstorms could clean. It was as if the world had shifted under her feet that day, only attached to the ground beneath by the smallest of threads. Her mother's lullaby the background noise above all the chaos, hummed by none other than her sister.

     

    OR Four times her world is set aflame. And the moments in-between and after.
    OR a Vi introspection of season 1. And a softer, more quiet canon-divergent post-season 1. It's what they deserve.

    Already, it’s wrong. Waking up to an empty cabin, that is; or, more specifically, Kazuma’s absence. Ryunosuke has already gotten used to the steady sound of his breaths; the scratch of his pen on paper; the weight of Kazuma’s gaze on him; the tether of another person, as legs tie him to the ground.

    It was all too easy—all too quick—all too natural. As though it hasn’t been a day, but that he’s already passed three months at sea, contained within these four walls. Within Kazuma, you could argue.

    It’s not a terrible thing. Save for the ache—the ache—the ache.
