It was late at night, and Diluc just returned to Dawn Winery from his Darknight Hero duties. On the way to his bedroom, he noticed Kaeya's room door was open, with no Kaeya inside. Worried, Diluc started searching for him in the area around the mansion. After a few minutes, he gave up and went to the beach, the other place he guessed the Cavalry Captain could be.
The sound of a guitar could be heard as he got closer to his destiny. He recognized the melody. It brought him childhood memories that made him smile instantly.
"What are you doing here?" he asked quitely, trying not to scare his brother.
"I couldn't sleep."
"It's okay. We can stay here a little longer if you want, but we'll have to return soon since you have work tomorrow morning."
"I know. Thanks for worrying." a soft smile adorned Kaeya's lips. It had been a few months since they reconciled, but he still couldn't believe he got his brother back.
"It's been a long time since I heard that song. I remember how frustrating it was for you to teach me the Khaenria'hn lyrics to the point you decided to translate some parts just to make it easier for me, and that actually helped you a lot to learn our language." Kaeya chuckled, he remembered it like it was yesterday. It was rare to see an angry Kaeya, but when it came to teaching Diluc that song, only screams and frustrating sounds came out of the blue haired.
"Do you still remember the lyrics, or do I have to be your Khaenria'hn teacher again?" Kaeya asked jokingly, earning a laugh from his brother.
"No need for that. I couldn't forget it even if I tried."
Kaeya started playing the guitar, and as if on cue a soft breeze surrounded them. There was no need for them to talk, they already knew each other's parts of the song. Kaeya's perseverance on making Diluc sing it with him was worth it.
Diluc's voice started accompanying the guitar and, indeed, he still remembered the lyrics perfectly.

His Khaenria'hn was almost perfect and it filled Kaeya with pride.

While singing, Diluc noticed small shells next to Kaeya. He really was reminiscing his good old days. The cryo user started singing, and it impressed Diluc. The last time he heard him sing was several years ago, now his deeper voice made his singing even better than he imagined.

Now it was their favourite part: when their voices melted in one, making a beautiful harmony.

Even though Diluc's changed, he could still get to the high notes.

And one last time, their voices mixed again. They used to think it made the end of the song even better.

They decided to stay longer stargazing, having only the moon as witness.
