Work Text:
Rui is planning something. Tsukasa's not sure what, but he's planning something and it'll happen this practice. He even brought Akito! He never brings Akito to practice! Tsukasa tried asking him, but all he got in return was a too happy smile. When he tries again by asking Akito why he's here, the younger just points at his notebook. “Pose practice. Ya know. To get better at drawing stuff.” Akito shrugs. Tsukasa doesn't believe it. There's no way. Why today a of a sudden? Why not when Rui doesn't look like he's planning something? Tsukasa doesn't like this one bit.
Rui is indeed planning something. Akito doesn't have a lot to do with it though. He's just there to make things worse for Tsukasa. Practice starts. The scene they'll be working on is a fight scene between the villain, Rui and the hero, Tsukasa. He smiles. Time to test Tsukasa's improvisational skills.
“Halt, Villain! I've got you now!” Tsukasa points his sword (just a prop, not actually dangerous) at Rui. Rui raises his own sword. His line is supposed to be “Well, well, looks like I underestimated you.” Instead he says “Well, well, looks liketh i und'restimat'd thee.” It means the same thing, but he can practically see Tsukasa's brain stutter to a halt when he registers what Rui just said. He can hear Akito snort. As if he had been any better the first time Rui did this to him.
When Tsukasa's brain reboots he just gives a bewildered “what?” in reply.
“Wherefore, Tsukasa, aren't thee did suppose to beest a star? Thy next line prithee.” Rui is having a lot of fun. Even if he had to learn Shakespearean for it and translate it into japanese. And all he gets for his efforts is the reply of “huh?!” Akito snickers. “Cometh on Tsukasa, we has't not all day!” that one Tsukasa can understand with ease. “Well I KNOW that, but Rui! How are we supposed to practice if you're talking so weird, huh?” That's the cue for Nene and Emu.
“What art thee talking about, Tsukasa! That gent's speaking p'rfectly n'rmally!” Emu is really enjoying this, Rui thinks. When he had told her of his idea, she had agreed almost instantly. Not because of any bad intent of course. Rui may or may not have omitted that he's doing this for revenge. “AH, NOT YOU TOO, EMU!” Nene looks at Tsukasa, unhappy. “Thou art so noisy. Can't thee just break thee off f'r a did bite?” Nene had almost instantly agreed to Rui’s idea.
Akito walks over to the stage. “Something wrong? wherefore didst thee stand ho practicing aft'r one sentence?” Tsukasa has a horrified look on his face. “WHY ARE ALL OF YOU SPEAKING LIKE THAT?! EVEN YOU AKITO?” Rui lightly pokes his side with his sword. “Cometh on, we needeth to continueth!” “AAAHHHHH! WHAT IS HAPPENING?” Tsukasa is clutching his head in despair. The rest of them laugh at his misery. (Well Emu probably doesn't laugh at his misery. But she does laugh and that's good enough for Rui.) When Tsukasa looks to him for an explanation, all Rui does is T-Pose to assert dominance. When he looks to Akito, Akito puts on his nice guy face, dead smile and all. When he turns to Emu for an explanation she just yells “Tsukasa! Go, go, WONDAHOY!” When he looks to Nene, he just gets a giggle in response. Tsukasa even looks at Robo-Nene for help, but Robo-Nene has nothing to do with this. All Tsukasa can do is despair as all of his group mates + Akito continue to talk in Shakespearean for the rest of their practice session. The next day when he asks about it, everyone acts confused. Nothing unusual happened yesterday, right?
