Two girls wake up in a room with twin beds simultaneously coming to the realization they are not in their own homes. One immediately leaps out of bed, weapon at the ready, causing the other to startle.
"Girl, why do you have a stick in your hand" the startled one questions, sitting up slowly.
"Well I wasn't sure were I was, this is not where I fell asleep" the second girl replies lowering said pointy stick nervously.
"Yeah me neither. I'm Raven, by the way" the girl introduces herself.
"I'm Buffy, what's say you and I take a look around Raven" Buffy offers.
"Might as well, man I didn't even see this coming" Raven says
"How could you, I mean you aren't psychic right?" Buffy asks
"Hehe, uh yeah cause that would be weird" Raven laughs nervously.
Buffy shrugs.
"Trust me, I've seen weirder" she tells her and they head outside to see a long row of doors.
"Huh, a motel, that's different" Buffy says
"Rosebud Motel, interesting. Suppose it's better than Redrum am I right" Raven jokes after reading the sign.
A door to another room opens before Buffy can respond. The man that emerges looks at them for a moment before his eyes comically widen.
"Alexis, ALEXIS, get out here NOW" he yells.
"Oh my God, what David!" a voice from inside the room hollers as it grows closer. A woman stepping out beside the man called David. He simply points at Buffy and Raven who both look increasingly annoyed.
The woman, Alexis, gazes for a moment before sashaying over to the pair.
"Hi, I'm Alexis, that's my brother David. He's being a moron right now because you both look like people from two of his favorite TV shows. Welcome to Schitt's creek, what brings you here" Alexis introduces and asks.
"Um well ok this is going to sound weird but we just woke up here. I'm Buffy, this is Raven" Buffy tells them ignoring the from TV line.
David inhales sharply.
"See I'm right. She's Buffy the fucking vampire slayer! The best show that ever existed. No offense, Raven, I do love the whole psychic thing" He says to both Alexis and Raven in turn.
Alexis rolls her eyes.
"Just because you carved your own little Mr. Pointy and carried it around and pretended you were Buffy doesn't mean you need to fanboy now. Pretty sure there's some sort of issue for them to just appear here" She says.
"Oh wow Alexis, you are just so smart. What would we ever do without you" David sasses.
"Wait this doesn't mean that like vampires are suddenly going to be here, right" Alexis worries.
"Yes Alexis they're all going to come and slobber on your neck, though not much different than many of your boyfriends in the past, just you know, deader" David tells her
"Eww David" she says and stomps away.
"So to clarify, we, (pointing to herself and Buffy) are on TV shows and she kills vampires?" Raven asks.
"That sums it up yeah." David says.
"Oh snap" Raven mutters.
"Ok, ok we can do this. I've been in alternate universes before. Have you had any visions since we've been here, Raven" Buffy asks, taking charge.
"No, but they just come when they want" Raven explains.
"Well vampires can't be out in day light so we have time to plan. When the sun goes down that's when we'll need to be watching. David, do you still have a Mr. Pointy" Buffy asks.
David huffs.
"No"
Buffy stares at him.
"Fine, yes of course I do" he yields.
Raven grabs Buffy's arm.
"What, what is it, are you ok" Buffy asks, Raven doesn't respond.
"She's having a psychic episode, just wait" David tells her, trying to pretend he's not totally fanboy-ing
Raven gasps.
"Four men attacking this place, we fight them, with sticks?" Raven says questioningly
"Well we have time, let's get some food before all the badassery commences" David suggests.
A few hours later the trio is standing guard over the motel as four men saunter up.
"Geez no wonder you only come out at night, dressed like that" David quips as they approach.
"David" Buffy warns but is smiling slightly. Both David and Raven stay back as they had planned while eating at the Cafe Tropical.
"Ha, you gotta mouth for someone who's relying on a little girl to protect him" one of the men says.
"Ugh that is such cliché toxic masculinity" David huffs.
"This little girl is the one monsters are afraid of. I'm the Slayer" Buffy says drawing their attention while David has another fanboy moment.
Vampire number three charges Raven who is quick to react and stab him in the heart turning him to dust.
"Ugh, ya nasty. Guess you could say I did see that one coming" She says. Buffy holds out for a fist bump as she stakes vampire number one.
Vampire four uses the opportunity to charge David who blindly stabs while shouting
"Die bitch die"
Taken off guard allows him to get the upper hand and fulfill his lifelong fantasy of fighting alongside Buffy who has dispatched the last one.
"This might be the weirdest yet coolest thing I've ever experienced" Raven admits.
"Preach sister, preach" David agrees holding out for fist bumps for both ladies.
The next thing David knows, he's waking up in his bed and it's morning.
"Fuck, that was too vivid of a dream. Screw the real world I'm staying in bed." He says aloud to no one and rolls over to do just that. Mr. Pointy lays abandoned under the bed.
"Come on Giles, did we really have to wipe their memories? That David guy had the time of his life" Buffy questions jumping up to sit on the counter in the library.
"Buffy, you know better than most I'd wager, that messing with time and alternate universes never ends well. It's for the best. They'll think it was a dream and go on with their normal, or well for Raven semi normal lives. It's how it has to be." Giles explains
Buffy sighs.
"Ok. But if you're wrong and that Schitt's creek place has more vampires and they're left unprepared it's all on you" she tells him.
Giles just stares at her in confusion, too many things to process in that scenario to even try.
