Summary
The continent of Altiria has existed for time immemorial. For many, save those with the most esoteric of knowledge, it is the only land there is in this world.
It has been fifteen years since the Kingdom of Alethia, located in central Altiria, was invaded by an army of bandits from across the seas to the southwest. After a few years of war, the capital of Melior now sits occupied, and the people of Alethia are terrorized by their new rulers. What resistance remains now hides within a mountain fortress in Alethia's northwestern mountain range.
To the Alethian north and northwest, lies the prosperous alliance of city-states paradoxically named the Southern Realms. There, the three realms of Diurna, Granport, and Fhald continue to live in relative peace, uncaring to the collapse of their southeastern neighbor. Tensions are on the rise, however, as the Empire to their north has begun to beat the drums of a long dead war once again.
The world now finds itself on the precipice of an all encompassing conflict, and a handful of people find themselves sitting atop the pyre of history.
