Summary
Meet the Bertanellis, the newest couple in Navassa that has everyone talking. Originally from Middleburg, Pennsylvania, they moved down South to start anew and escape the hell that was brought forth to them due to Alice's past. And although sweet and mild-mannered in person, the two are both barely holding it together. But the first person to really notice is their new neighbor, Rodney Lewis. And as he speculates with his girlfriend and friends, they start to uncover more and more about this couple, much more than the bargained for. But it all started with Alden's obvious jealousy when Rodney met them...
Author's Note: Dr. Alden Bertanelli is a hybrid character that has the personality and demeanor of Dr. Stephen Arden and Dr. Otto Octavius. He is in his late forties and looks like Dick Suskind from The Hoax in this story.
