   Summary

   When she hears what Baghra has to tell her about her son, Alina is devastated. In addition to her fear of being forced to live an endless life of enslavement, the young Sun Summoner has to bear the sour taste of betrayal as the idyllic image she had of Aleksander falls apart. Her newfound faith in the Grisha cause shaken to the core and her heart torn in pieces, she runs from the Little Palace without knowing where to go.

   Will Alina find a safe haven far from the Black General's obsession for her or will her own feelings bring her back to him despite it all ?
