Summary:
The van is running, Steve realizes, and Eddie wouldn’t start it if he was just coming out to smoke. It sobers him up almost immediately. “You leaving?”
Eddie gives him a smile, sad around the edges where it reaches his eyes, says, “Yeah,” and Steve knows he doesn’t just mean for tonight.

It has been over ten years since I last recorded podfic, and this is the first since I started HRT a year and a half ago. It was such an incredibly rewarding experience, and I'm hoping for the opportunity to create more in the future. Thank you so much to spiritsontheroof for giving me permission to podfic their work!
The bat-eared and eagle-eyed of listeners may notice minor discrepancies between the written work and the recording - these were the rare results of my natural cadence mismatching the written work, and were only observed upon editing. I offer my apologies to spiritsontheroof - it's not you, it is certainly me.
Because of my New England upbringing, it is linguistically impossible for me to pronounce the word Marlboro, and I am thankful it only exists twice in this fic.
