Robin didn’t know what Nancy saw in Steve, whatsoever. She was gorgeous, smart, stubborn, and surprisingly funny in a dry sort of way. From the few times that she and Nancy hung out with Barb, Robin felt her cheeks heat up under her big blue eyed stare. Her weird little crush never ignited with a flame as hot as Tammy, but it’s always been there, simmering in the background.
They leaned in for a kiss, holding each other’s hands.
“God they’re so—“ Robin started with a sneer.
“Gross, right?!” Munson finished for her.
She turned and saw where Munson was staring out past the fish bowl, his dark eyes locked on the couple, his hands still fidgeting with the dice. He looked… sad, almost.
“Yeah.” Robin said quietly.

Eddie turned on his heel toward Steve and frantically rooted around in his denim jacket pocket for a couple of moments before he fisted out two crisp pieces of paper. He brandished them nervously in his hands before he presented them to Steve. Harrington peered down at the set of two movie tickets being thrusted toward him and saw that both of the pink stubs had Evil Dead 2 neatly printed above an 8:00 PM showtime. Steve, who hadn’t said a word the whole time, stared back up at Eddie, who had his top and bottom lips sucked between his teeth. Eddie stared back at him, his wide brown eyes bugging in anticipation.
“A movie?” Steve simply asked.

Eddie let out a whistle. “Damn, you really have planned this out, huh?”
Nancy cracked a smile. “I always have a plan.”
“And will Harrington and Byers be at this party?”
“Absolutely.”
Eddie grinned, a wide, Cheshire cat grin. “You are evil, Nancy Wheeler. I’m so in.”

Nancy enlists Eddie as her fake boyfriend to get her through her last semester of high school without unwanted suitors throwing themselves at her. Eddie agrees, eager to stir up drama. They didn't expect to become such close friends so quickly. Eddie didn't expect to develop a thing for Steve. Steve certainly didn't expect to develop a thing for Eddie, the guy screwing his ex girlfriend.
And no one expected Eddie to get as involved in the truth as he does.
