Summary
Kinn is a corporalnik. A heartrender, a grisha with the ability to manipulate the body to cause harm. He knows Porsche is shadowing him on his way back to the main family compound after he'd briefed his guards on their job that night, and he hears Porsche's heartbeat in his room even before he spots the open window.
"What is it, Wraith?"
The question is an order. Porsche steps out of the shadows like a creature that is made from them, clothed from head to toe in black, including a hood that he’d already pulled back from his face.
“What are we really dealing with, Kinn. I know you didn’t tell the guards everything.”
“I told the guards what they need to know.”
“And me?”
