Lucius puts his hands on his hips. “So what’s this about, then? This inability to take a compliment?”
“Pirates don’t need compliments.”
Lucius makes a face. “Really?” He gestures to the wardrobe, then emphatically behind him towards the door to the main cabin. “Listen, I know you’re doing your best to ignore it, but those two have been complimenting each other almost the whole time. It’d be quite sweet if it weren’t, you know, our bosses, and we were trapped in here.”
“Fine. I don’t need compliments.”
“Are you saying that because it’s true or because no one’s ever made a habit of giving you them?”
“Leave it.”
“Or what?”
