Work Text:

Yoo Joonghyuk was drunk.

Like, super wasted. Completely and utterly drunk.

This was Kim Dokja’s fault, in a way. After all, he was the one who somehow convinced Joonghyuk to accompany him drinking. It’s just that he didn’t expect the protagonist to have such low alcohol tolerance.

Now, due to his oversight, he has to somehow bring Yoo Joonghyuk back to his house. Kim Dokja was now regretting his decisions, just slightly.

Kim Dokja managed to drag Yoo Joonghyuk into his car. Yoo Joonghyuk clinging onto Kim Dokja helped the process a bit (though Kim Dokja was red as a tomato due to it). He decided to let Yoo Joonghyuk crash over at his apartment since he didn’t want to scout for Yoo Joonghyuk’s apartment key.

Bringing Yoo Joonghyuk to his apartment was a lot simpler than Kim Dokja had expected. Yoo Joonghyuk did not put that much of a resistance as he did when Kim Dokja put him in his car. In fact, Yoo Joonghyuk was very compliant to everything Kim Dokja told him to do. He followed Kim Dokja quietly while his hand tightly clutching to Kim Dokja’s shirt.

Kim Dokja laid him on his bed, deciding to just spend the night on the sofa. However, it would seem Yoo Joonghyuk had other plans for him.

His eyes only half open, Yoo Joonghyuk clutched Kim Dokja’s shirt and pulled him down. This caused Kim Dokja to fall into the bed, right beside Yoo Joonghyuk. He wrapped his arms around Kim Dokja, fully enjoying the warmth of the other, his head hurried in the crook of Kim Dokja’s neck.

“Joonghyuk? H-Hey, who are you mistaking me for? This is me, Kim Dokja. Ugh, you bastard, let go. I’m not Lee Seolhwa or whoever you think I am.” Kim Dokja said, struggling to get out of Yoo Joonghyuk’s hold, face bright red.

“Mm.” Yoo Joonghyuk’s arms only tightened around Kim Dokja’s waist, holding him tighter than before. “Kim Dokja.”

“Yes, that’s me. Let go now since you know.” Kim Dokja wished to stay within the comfort of Yoo Joonghyuk’s arms, but knew he shouldn’t so that the guy would not be angry when he woke up.

“Kim Dokja.” Yoo Joonghyuk turned his head slightly, still nuzzling Kim Dokja’s neck. “Don’t go.”

“H-Huh? What?”

“Stay. Warm.” Yoo Joonghyuk pulled him closer and Kim Dokja felt as though his face was going to burn right off. He couldn’t believe it. Right, Yoo Joonghyuk was probably too drunk to think properly. He shouldn’t believe what he’s saying in this drunken state. Well… it should be fine since he’s the one holding him close, right? He could just tell him this once he woke up tomorrow.

Kim Dokja only fell asleep two hours later, his adrenaline running high.

The next morning, Kim Dokja woke up before Yoo Joonghyuk. He woke up within Yoo Joonghyuk’s arms. He tried to get out of it, but couldn’t since part of Yoo a Joonghyuk’s torso was on top of him.

Instead, Kim Dokja waited for Yoo Joonghyuk to wake up. He watched as the guy slept, never seeing him look so peaceful. His brows and mouth was relaxed, unlike his usual appearance that made him look grumpy all the time.

Yoo Joonghyuk’s brows scrunched in displeasure before his eyes slowly opened, still looking hazy. Kim Dokja panicked, but maintained his composure on the outside.

Once Yoo Joonghyuk fully woke up, he hurriedly moved away from Kim Dokja with wide eyes.

“Good morning, Snow White. I didn’t know your Alcohol tolerance was so low. Two bottles and you were all over me, huh? Maybe I should get you drinking more.” Kim Dokja said, his voice feigning playfulness.

“Kim Dokja, you…!” Yoo Joonghyuk looked furious. Kim Dokja was scared, disappointed and slightly glad at the same time. He wanted to feel Yoo Joonghyuk’s warmth in his arms again though he knew he wouldn’t be able to, but he was glad his relationship with Yoo Joonghyuk wouldn’t change much.

“Hey, now, Joonghyuk. I didn’t willingly go into your arms, you pulled me in! It’s not like I have enough strength to fight you off.” Kim Dokja rolled his eyes, now sitting up on the bed.

“…” Oddly, Kim Dokja felt that Yoo Joonghyuk’s mood was slightly off. He looked a bit…sad?

“Ah, right. Wait here. I’ll make you something for your hangover.” Kim Dokja quickly made his concoction for hangovers and gave it to Yoo Joonghyuk, who took it begrudgingly.

After he finished the drink, Yoo Joonghyuk placed the mug on the bedside table. “Kim Dokja.”

“Hmm?” He was laying down on the bed, across Yoo Joonghyuk who was sitting down.

“I like you.” That made Kim Dokja widen his eyes and sit up.

“What? Hey, are you still drunk? You can’t mess with people’s feelings like that, you know? Don’t joke about this.”

“I’m not drunk, nor am I joking. I like you, Kim Dokja. I’ve liked you since I knew you.” Yoo Joonghyuk’s eyes wasn’t meeting Kim Dokja and there was a tint of red under his eyes. “Only you.”

“W-wha- This isn’t some sort of prank, right? Hey, you bastard, are you actually serious?” Kim Dokja was blushing, his eyes wide, and he brought his face close to Yoo Joonghyuk’s. He was scared. He didn’t want this to be some sort of cruel joke Yoo Joonghyuk was playing on him.

Yoo Joonghyuk frowned. “I wouldn’t pull a prank like this, Kim Dokja. Don’t look down on me. Of course I’m serious.”

“I-“ Kim Dokja’s head was in jumbles. Everything was happening too fast, and he didn’t know what to do. Oh, nevermind. He actually knew exactly what he wanted to do. It was illogical, there’s no way someone like Yoo Joonghyuk liked someone like Kim Dokja. However, this bastard in front of him was saying exactly that. How could he not believe him when he scrunched his eyebrows that way and his beautiful eyes gave him the look that always sent shivers down his spine, this time the feeling was welcomed. “Joonghyuk. Yoo Joonghyuk. I like you too, Yoo Joonghyuk.”

This time it was Joonghyuk’s turn to be shocked. “R-really?”

“Yeah, really. Hey, Joonghyuk.”

“Hm?” Kim Dokja thought he looked so pretty when his eyes shone with confusion this way.

“Can I kiss you?” Yoo Joonghyuk’s eyes widened, but he didn’t take longer than two seconds to answer.

“Please.” How could Kim Dokja hold himself back when Yoo Joonghyuk said it like that? It was impossible. He shouldn’t be allowed to say that when he looks so pretty.

Their lips enveloped each other, and Kim Dokja never wanted to not be able to feel it again. He wished that he could forever hold Yoo Joonghyuk within his arms.

He just simply never wanted to let go.
