Summary
Aether had long come to recognize and accept his attraction to Xiao. They'd become much closer, and he wasn't one to deny what was inherently the truth. However, he also had to give credit to the fact that nothing would come of these feelings, so he vowed to leave it to the side and embrace the friendship and closeness they do have. He wouldn't allow something to ruin something that was perfectly acceptable.
When Aether and Xiao venture out as they often tended to, their exhaustion on the way back hinders them in their endeavors, and facing an oddly large group of treasure hoarders hadn't been the best plan.
Pitted up against a new Fatui weapon held in the hands of the enemy, they'll venture down a winding trail of feelings, illness, attraction and most of all, instinct.
This is NOT a dead dove do not eat.
