Please, help me!

Summary:

Izuku's apartment collapses under a villain attack. Endeavor being the hero on scene, stated that he got everyone out. Then the police get's a call from a kid, stating he is still under the ruble.

Work Text:

Tsukauchi was doing paperwork for an earlier villain attack when the phone call came in. Picking up the phone, he answered the call.

"Musutafu police department, how can I help you?" Tsukauchi asked, lifting his eyes from the paperwork.

"U-um" A tiny, strained voice came from the other side. Tsukauchi became more alert, the sound of a child on the other side kickstarting his brain.

"It's ok, take your time." He said softly, trying to calm down the, what he presumed, was a child on the other end.

"I-I t-think I n-need some h-help" The child whispered, voice thick with tears. Tsukauchi's heart broke a bit at the way the child's voice sounded so hurt. After all the years he has been a detective, children calling for help was always the worst.

"Ok, can you give me your name and your location, please?" He asked softly.

"I-Izuku, a-and I live a-at Musutafu XXXX" The little boy answered. And if Tsukauchi's heart didn't hurt before, it definitely did now. That apartment was brought to ruins under the villain attack earlier that day, Endeavor being the hero in scene. Everyone was evacuated according to the flaming hero.

"Ok, Izuku. Can you tell me what you need help with so I can get someone to you?" Tsukauchi asked, voice still soft. In the back of his mind, a voice spoke up about already knowing the situation, but Tsukauchi didn't want to belive that the child was still under the ruble. That last bit of hope was died when the boy spoke up again.

"I-I'm still a-at home, M-Mister." The boy whispered brokenly.

"Ok, Izuku, here is what we are going to do. I am going to call in a friend of mine to come talk to you while I get together a team to get you out. Does that sound like a plan?" Tsukauchi asked the boy. Even though he knew he had to do it this way, he wanted the boy to know what he was doing.

"O-ok, Mister" The boy whispered.

"Just call me Tsukauchi, Izuku" He said, already reaching for his personal phone.

"Ok, Mister 'Kauchi" A small smile drew over his face at hearing Izuku not being able to pronounce his quite right, but didn't correct the boy.

"I am going to mute for just a second, but don't hang up, ok? I want you to be on the phone" Tsukauchi said. The boy hummed in response. He muted the phone and started the call. It rang only a couple of times before the person on the other end answered.

"Tsukauchi?" Aizawa answered, as tired as ever.

"I need you down at the station. We have a kid still under the ruble at Musutafu XXXX" Tsukauchi said, not even a hello in a greeting.

"I thought Endeavor got everyone out?" Aizawa said, more of a statement than a question. Tsukauchi heard some shuffling on the other side and a door being slammed shut.

"That's what he said, but I have a kid on the phone right now, stating he is still in there" He answered his friend.

"Damn that overgrown peace of trash" Aizawa cursed under his breath, and Tsukauchi couldn't help but agree. This wasn't the first time something tike this had happened, just not as big of a fatal mistake as this. "I'm 5 minutes away"

With that, the Underground hero hang up.

Shouta was just wanted a calm evening with his husband, watching trash TV and drinking coffee. This was not the plan, but something deep inside him told him to take this case. He walked into the station and right towards the detective office. Opening the door, he was greeted with Tsukauchi talking with a kid on the phone.

"Hey, Izuku. My friend is here, is it ok if I interduce you to him? I have to go soon" Tsukauchi asked.

"Y-yeah" A small voice seid over the phone. Izuku was his name, according to the sentence he just heard.

"Hey, kid. My name is Pro hero Eraserhead, but you can call me Aizawa" Shouta greeted the kid. He was not expecting the reaction he got, however.

"Underground Her Eraserhead?!" The boy squealed, taking both Tsukauchi and Shouta by surprise. Tsukauchi nodded to him before exiting the door, getting ready a rescue-team.

"That's me kid. How did you know?" Shouta asked, setteling in the chair Tsukauchi just sat in.

"Y-you're m-my favorite h-hero! Y-you fight b-basically Q-quirkless!" The whisper-shouted in excitement. It was impressive that a kid knew who he was, when not even many heroes knew who he is.

"How old are you kid?" Shouta asked.

"I'm 6 m-mister Eraser!" Izuku answered. And didn't that break Shouta's heart. A 6 year old kid is trapped under a collapsed building, only because someone who was supposed to protect him failed to get him out of there in time, and then ignore protocol, leaving him behind.

"It's impressive that you know who I am, kid. Not even many heroes know who I am" Shouta said.

"I-I like t-to analyze heroes! I want t-to be a hero w-when I grow up!" Izuku answered. If not for years of training, Shouta may have missed the sad edge to the kids tone.

"Yeah? Analyzes is a much needed skill to have on the field, Izuku. You are on your way there, kid" Shouta answered, trying his best to keep the kids mood up.

"M-mister Eraser?" Izuku suddenly spoke up, hesitance clear as day in his tone.

"Just Aizawa, or Shouta, kid. And, yeah?" Shouta answered.

"M-mister 'Zawa, d-do you think s-someone without a-a quirk can b-become a hero?" Izuku asked.  dots connected quickly in his head. The way Izuku admired him for fighting basically quirkless, learning the skill of analysis and, lastly, this question. The quirkless are treated horribly in todays society, and Izuku may never have had someone to belive in him.

"Of course, Izuku. Quirks are just tools helping heroes do their jobs. You just need the right training and support to get on the right path" Aizawa answered. Small sniffles were heard on the other side og the phone.

"T-thank you, 'Zawa" Izuku whispered.

Before Shouta could answered, Tsukauchi came bursting through the door, informing him that they are moving out to help Izuku. Shouta stayed on the phone with the kid the entire time, only hanging up when he was on his way down the ruble to get the kid.

There, 3 floors down the collapsed building, lays a small green haired child, one of his legs stung under a peace of fallen ceiling.

"Hey, Izuku. Are you ready to get out of here?" Shouta asked. The color red came into his vision, and turning slightly, he caught the sighed of a middle aged green haired woman, crushed under the tons of ruble. It didn't take a genius to figure out that this was the kids mom.

Not wanting Izuku to panic, he turned back to the child.

"Yes, Mister 'Zawa" Izuku whispered, clearly exhausted. Shouta moved the ruble from the kid, then brining the kid into his arms. He signaled to the rescue-team to be hauled up.

For the next 24 hours, Shouta sat beside Izuku's hospital bed, Hizashi coming in a few hours after being informed of the situation.

When the kid woke up, they knew that they would talk about adopting. That was something they have spoken about for some time now, but they never found the right kid. Maybe this changes things?

They just knew couldn't let this kid get hurt anymore.
