“What do you want?” the stranger spits out.
“I, uhm…” He clears his throat. “I’m here for the, uh—meeting.”
The guy perks up. “Really?”
No backing out now. “Yes.”
“Well, you’d be the first member aside from myself.” Garrus’ brow plate narrows. Second member. What a roundabout way of putting it. The guy then gestures to the space. “Make yourself comfortable.” Garrus will very much not be doing so. There’s nothing comfortable about this. The guy proceeds to sit on the floor. “My name is Kai Leng,” he goes on. “And welcome to the Fuck Shepard Club, where we talk about how much we hate Commander Shepard.”
Garrus freezes. How much we—What? Hate? This is a so-called club for people who hate Shepard? Spirits, this was a big mistake. “I have deeply misunderstood the name of this group,” he speaks up, playing fast and loose with the word group.
