Ever since Harry Potter could remember, he had heard voices inside his head. He had ignored them at first, afraid of doing anything ‘freakish’, but the voices were kind and patient, and Harry began to trust them. Several years later, he learned how to go into his internal world, where he found out the voices actually had bodies, just not bodies that existed outside his head. Eventually, they’d decided to go by their hair colors. (except for Harry.) (There was Blue, sarcastic and cynical and mean. She wasn’t afraid to manipulate people, though she promised to try to avoid treating Harry or the others inside his head like that. There was Brown, who was shy, an awful lot like Harry himself. There was Blondie, who was incredibly competitive, although she never got the chance to show it. She often lamented the fact that she couldn’t play any sports, though she never blamed Harry for it. There was Violet, fun and playful and always ready for a game or prank. There was Green, who was mute. She was strong and sturdy and somehow knew sign language even though Harry didn’t know it until she taught him. (Harry had long since stopped questioning how his friends knew things he didn’t, even though they lived in his head.) and there was Grey, who knew how to fight. They had a rivalry with Blue, which Harry suspected was because the two of them seemed to represent different kinds of fighting. (Well, Green could fight too, but that wasn’t the point.) There was one big thing that united them, however, and that was their love for Harry, and how they were incredibly protective over him.) They had revealed early on that they could take control of his body, although they usually asked first. They would always offer to take Harry’s place in a punishment, although Harry always turned them down, not wanting anyone else hurt, especially his only friends.

On Harry’s eleventh birthday, everything changed. They’d suspected Harry was some kind of magic and had told him as much, but they would never have guessed that there was a whole magical community waiting to be explored.
