    Day 28: Surprise

    Johnny wasn't one to forget dates. Anniversaries were a big part of his life, things like his friends' birthday, the day he signed up to be a paramedic, hell, the day his parents died, as well as holidays and taxes and a whole barn of dates he had to keep straight.

    The fact he had forgotten his own birthday boggled him. To be fair to himself, Johnny had had a busy shift that left the station with almost no downtime between runs, and then immediately went out to camp in the mountains for his two days off. Well, time had just gotten away from him!
