Work Text:
Marinette was observing her surroundings, trying to analyze the situation and starting to panic more and more with every passing second. Of course, she had faced difficult challenges before, specifically when very problematic akumas occured and she had moments to dodge or jump away from the hit. But the situation she was in at that moment definitely beated all her previous encounters she had by the hardness.
It was really uncomfortable to stay under the suspicious gazes from two pairs of green eyes, not to mention curious glances from her classmates that were there as well. But she was supposed to manage through! She was strong, she was confident, she…
“Who is who out of all you three?!” Nino’s voice sounded really pissed. “Who is Adrien? Who is Felix? And who is third?!”
… disguised herself either as Adrien Agreste or as Félix Graham de Vanily.
Just what she needed!
Who knew that just as she was going to sneak into the mansion - to find as much (blackmail) evidence as she could that would support her theory that Gabriel Agreste is Hawkmoth - her classmates would sneak out adrien out of the mansion so he could spend more time with them and that at the same time Félix would… to be fair, Félix was just in the wrong place at the wrong time but nobody knew that.
“Who is Félix out of you two?”
“Who is Adrien out of you two?”
“Who is Félix out of you two?”
Three voices screamed simultaneously.
“I’m Adrien!” Two Adrien and Marinette immediately said.
“And I’m Félix, so I-,” Félix responded.
“Wait,” Marinette cut him.off in mid sentence. “How do we know that you’re Félix? Maybe you’re not who you’re saying.”
“You both admitted that one of you is Adrien, so it’s obvious that I’m Felix,” he proudly raised his chin.
“But Félix pretended to be me before,” Adrien pointed out, looking with suspicion at ‘Félix’. “Why would you not cooperate with him and pretend to be him?”
“How do we know that you’re adrien?” Félix immediately challenged him. “Maybe then you are not a member of Agreste and Graham de Vanily’s families!”
“Exactly!” Marinette exclaimed. “Because I am Adrien.”
“No, it’s me! Félix, stop it, it’s not funny anymore,” Adrien shot a warning glance at ‘Félix’.
“How will I stop it if I’m here?” he screamed from his place.

“Does anybody know what is going on?” Kim whispered very loudly to the class.
“Very vaguely,” Alix responded, enjoying the show in front of them. “Hey, look! They’re about to fight!”
“What? Oh no, stay all wherever you are!” Nino shouted, quickly positioning himself between all three blondes who already were curling their hands into the fists. “It’s easy to figure out who is who!”.
“Really? And how are you going to do that?” All three raised their eyebrows skeptically.
“Say something…” Nino thought for a second, “say something mean about me and the class.”
“HOW?! How you, a bunch of moronic supid dunderheads, still didn’t get that I AM FÉLIX! ” One of the blondes yelled.
“How can I say something like that? You all are great!” Other two gasped simultaneously.
“So,” Nino puffed his chest proudly, “after the first question we deduced that he,” he pointed at the mad blonde, “is Felix. Now we need only to deduce who Adrien is and who is an impostor.”
“I’m done with your clowning, I’m out,” Félix shoved Nino in the shoulder hard and stomped away, followed by frowns and displeasure, though no one tried to pursue him.
“So, you two…” Nino rubbed his chin thoughtfully. “What to ask, what to ask…”
“Nino, wait!” Alya ran to his side. “An impostor can simply copy real Adrien’s answers. I suggest that they both write their answers. Besides,” she started to whisper in his ear, “impostor’s handwriting will be different from Adrien’s.”
“Alya, you're a genius!” Nino exclaimed. “Where are the sheets and pens?”

Time passed and passed and the teens were getting more and more intrigued and desperate with each question.
All answers were similar, heck, even the handwriting was the same that no one was able to tell who is who.
Questions seemed to be harder to pick, until Alya asked suddenly, “Please, write down your Sunday schedule, Adrien.”
And that’s where the difference appeared. One Adrien seemed to struggle with the question, visibly trying to remember what he had on that day. While the other one had no problem at all with it and was writing his answer down the sheet. Nino signaled to Alya, pointing at the ‘impostor Adrien’, to move behind them, before calling out the time.
Obviously, their answers were different that time.
“I don’t remember having those things on my schedule, or maybe I missed them,” Adrien ‘the struggling’ pointed out when they were checking in.
“And that’s what makes you not a real Adrien, but me!” Adrien ‘the confident’ exclaimed happily.
“Actually,” Nino smiled at the second Adrien, “Adrien never remembers his schedule fully, always forgetting several appointments that his mor… father puts in there. And that was what gave you away, an impostor. Alya, go!”
Alya, not wasting her time, rushed to the impostor and pulled off the wig, revealing…
“MARINETTE?! WHY?”
“I just wanted to collect some evidence to support my theory that Gabriel Agreste is Hawkmoth,” she said, doomed. “And then our paths crossed and I panicked so the only logical way to get out of the situation for me seemed to be to pretend to be Adrien. I’m sorry, it was wrong, but I panicked…”
Everyone stared at her in disbelief, questioning themselves how it was possible that they didn’t notice that Marinette was pretending to be a guy.
But Adrien brought even more confusion with his happy and cheerful smile, “Marinette, that was awesome!“
“Huh?”
“Can you do this again but with my Father? He will never guess that he is getting pranked!”
