Work Text:
Bathing the children was something that rarely had to be done, mainly due to the fact that two of them were cats and the other a dragon who prefers not to touch the ground but rarely was not synonymous with never.
Perhaps the most surprising thing this time was that only Raon would need the bath or perhaps that he would never quite understand how it was that his youngest son thought a mud bath was the same as a normal bath. Well, he needed it anyway.
Too bad holding him in his dragon form was no longer an option for Cale, not after he had grown so much, but he could still carry him and put him in the tub as long as he was in his human form.
Raon is one of those kids who makes a big mess at bath time, the kind that makes it seem like it's the room that took the bath or that there was a water war between who-knows-which sides. And well, his father preferred to use the word 'funny' rather than 'disastrous'. Especially when the boy was smiling at him in that familiar way, with that twinkle in those giant blue eyes, incrusted in a face that was becoming more familiar to him by the day.
Yes, the nobleman didn't have the heart to get angry and consider it a disaster.
Besides, it was always an adorable sight the way he clung to his neck afterward, his hair still damp wetting the collar and shoulders of his shirt, demanding his nap and asking expectantly what they were going to have for dinner that day.
