Chapter Text
Somewhere, In an abandoned gym, there was a concert going on.
Well, more of a hook up party, but there was still a band playing in the background. A band that, if you were familiar with the nature of illegal underground weed selling, you'd know about. The music genre they played were usually rock or grunge, maybe some punk; genres like that.
The one thing that sort of got them to stay genuinely unknown, was that they were fully instrumental. Sure, they tried lookin' for vocals here and there, but none of them really fit the vibe of the instruments or hit a specific note that really made the song pop out, you know? So they agreed to stay instrumental until further notice.
And now, as we speak, they're playing in that hook up party. Some band members are pretty pissed, specifically the main base guitarist, Chuuya Nakahara. He recently just had a wordless face expressions fight with the drummer, Higuchi, because she was being extremely stupid and not being extra on the drums, fearing she might mess up and get gin, the lead guitarist, upset with her. There was really no need to care about that because gin and higuchi were literally dating and only slightly got mad at each other for huge problems.
Chuuya seriously needed higuchi to step it up more because the crowd (Or atleast, the crowd that was actually listening instead of making out with the person beside them) was starting to get bored. And with the genre they play, the drums were probably the most important instrument there.
Never the less, higuchi got her way, leaving chuuya extremely fucking pissed and seriously considering just ending there turn on that song right there. Sadly, chuuya knew better(knew that he had extreme anger issues and that he needed to calm the fuck down) so he let it be.
Until, Un fucking till, the rythm guitarist, akutagawa Ryuunosuke, messed up so badly, that it got the entire song out of rythm.
The "RYTHM GUITARIST" GOT THE WHOLE SONG OUT OF "RYTHM". He was going to pull his shitty brains out. That fucking emo shit. What was going on with them?! They practice pretty regularly, so what the fuck is up??
They ended the song, with barely anybody clapping, most of which were sarcasticly clapping. They fucked up so bad, he didn't even see girls or guys simping over any of them, which is an obvious sign of how bad they did.
...
There was a very frustrated inhale.
"Ok, WHAT THE FUCK?!" The redhead slammed his fist on the wall of their studio.
The rest of the band members immediately took their eyes off of their phones to look at chuuya, a bit shocked at how loud he was.
Akutagawa was the first one to reply
"What...?" He said, almost in a whisper, still a bit shocked.
"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?? DID YALL JUST FORGET WHAT THE FUCK MUSIC IS-?" Chuuya yelled.
"Dude, chill-" Higuchi tried to tap in, but was immediately interrupted because of the ginger's anger issues.
"HOW THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO BE CHILL? WE FUCKING RUINED THE WHOLE BANDS REPUTATION, WHAT HAPPENED!?" He was practically burning with anger, his face now the color of his hair.
Gin sighed. "It was literally just one song, bands mess up all the time, lower your voice, please." She said, probably in a more polite way than chuuya had ever been in his life.
Chuuya took some deep breaths, deciding to give up on the matter, he didn't want to argue with gin, she had done nothing wrong, and he would feel like a huge asswhole later.
After a few moments of silence, chuuya finally spoke. "Alright, fine. Let's just end it here, I'm gonna go join the party, are you coming, Akutagawa?" He asked, still in a annoyed tone, but very much quieter than before.
Ryuunosuke nodded immediately, quickly putting his guitar in it's case.
The two college drop outs waved goodbye to gin and higuchi, leaving the studio.
The party was even sluttier then before, to the point where if you looked hard enough, you'd see that nudity was very common in the crowd. Another band playing, this one a hip hop band. Chuuya made his way to the small bar stand.
Ordering a shot of wine, and then making his way to a small part of the building that was pretty hidden from the crowd. He was a pretty social person at parties, but he didn't think that he could talk to anyone with out getting irritated at them for no reason.
As he walked through the hallways of the structure, he heard a familiar song being sung, hearing it more clearly as he got closer to his destination.
It was a offsprings song, specifically "The kids aren't alright"
He knew that song word for word, so he realized that the person who was singing it didn't. They hummed at parts the didn't remember, and practically yelled the parts that they loved. However, It was not what they were singing that Got chuuya stuck in place, daring to step forward, it was how they sung. The high notes, the long notes, the scratchy tint to their voice when they sung, it was perfect.
Something like that was never heard by chuuya, and now that chuuya heard it, he felt blessed. As if every part that song was knew to him, though he hated the song from how much he'd heard it, he now felt as if he'd never heard such an amazing song before.
Once the unknown singer finished off the last lryics they knew, chuuya waited a bit before walking into the once reserved spot for himself
He stood beside the man, acting as if he weren't there, waiting for the other to either leave or spark a conversation.
"You know, I really appreciate the company, but who the fuck are you? And why are you here?" The tall brunette that was covered in bandages asked.
Oh. This guy's an ass.
Chuuya scoffs, now looking offended.
"Excuse me? Who are YOU?? And why are YOU here? I'm the only one who knows about this place." He says.
The strange man rolls his eyes.
"You are critically stupid". He states.
"...excuse me!?" The redhead is now much more confused and offended then before.
"I said, your stupid. Just because you haven't seen anyone here, doesn't mean no one else knows about this place, ignorant hat rack." Bandage guy replies, his tone being the embodiment of a forehead smack.
"I am not ignorant! And why "hat rack"!?" He snaps.
The brunette smirks a bit before bending down to reach chuuya's height, and tells him, "Because you have a hat, and your about as tall as a hat rack."
Chuuya then quickly puts his wine glass down, and turns his hands into fists.
"You wanna fight me, punk?" He says, almost about ready to punch this bitch in the eye.
The man shrugs. "I'd rather not, I don't want to mess up my perfect image with my university over a slug like you."
Chuuya blinks.
"...you go to college?" Why was a university student in a place like this?
"Yeah, I'm guessing you don't. Who's really the punk, then?"
He replies.
Chuuya snarls.
"Shut up, your probably a fucking teachers pet that knows every shitty math equation in the world, nerd."
The man laughs."I'm actually just barely passing, but thanks for the encouragement."
He's seriously getting tired of this bandaged idiot. What is his stupid name, anyway?
"Ok, well then I bet you can't spell your own name right." Chuuya reclaims.
"If this is a way of asking my name, it's Dazai. If not, I'm not that stupid. It's D-A-Z-.....ai?" Dazai struggles.
Chuuya starts to die of laughter, pointing a finger at the idiotic university student.
"Oh my god- you can't, how are you in university!?" He asks, still dying of laughter.
Dazai pouts, upset from his mistake."I can! My brain just went blank! Whatever-I bet your name is ugly."
Chuuya gathers his laughter and inhales. "It's chuuya, you could just ask, Moron." He giggles at the end.
"Wow, I was right." Dazai says, seemingly in genuine surprise.
Chuuya was about to say something else, but was interrupted by his phone ringing.
He signaled to dazai to give him a second, and dazai nodded.
He answered the call, which was from akutagawa.
"Hey, dude. What's up? Chuuya asks.
"Hey, just wanted to tell you that Gin wants us to go back to the studio to discuss on how we can improve."
Akutagawa says.
Chuuya scratches his head."Now? But we just finished with the show...?"
Akutagawa sighed, "Yeah, she's kind of stressed and higuchi isn't helping, we want you to come so you can help organize things a bit."
Oh, makes sense.
"Alrighty, I'll be there in a bit." Chuuya informs.
He hangs up the call, and immediately he realizes that dazai is a nosy mother fucker.
"What was that about???" He asks.
"None of your fucking buisness, I got to go, bye." Chuuya gives him the middle finger, ready to walk away.
"Wait!" Dazai protests, "if you tell me really quickly I won't come here again!"
A very exhausted exhale comes out from the red head.
"Fine, my band member's sister wants to discuss something about the band. Bye." Chuuya says, very quickly.
Dazai's eyes light up.
"You have a band!?!" He's practically pulling chuuya back into the room by his wrist.
"Ugh, jeez yeah, can you let go??" Chuuya says, obviously disgusted by the brunette.
Dazai's eyes only get brighter, "When do you play over here?"
Chuuya slightly frowns."Probably, never. We aren't gonna play here again for all I know."
Dazai's tone is getting a bit more desperate."So where??"
Chuuya sighs, in defeat.
He writes his phone number down on a piece of paper he had in his pocket and hands it to Dazai.
"Here, you text me, and I'll text you where and when we play, alright?" Chuuya says, clearly in a hurry.
Dazai smiles, letting go of chuuyas wrist, and thanks him.
Once chuuya left, dazai realizes that he forgot his wine.
What a stupid hat rack. Whatever, more for him.
