Work Text:
The dull days for Cale were the best, no one came to wake him up early and even that horrible lemon tea tasted a little less sour than usual. If he got up at nap time and decided to join his sons in another quest for the ninth sleep no one said anything; if he got up for dinner after going to bed at four in the morning, there was a plate waiting for him on the table and he could even eat in his pajamas. Beacrox had given up trying to convince him to get him up in the wee hours of the morning if he ever missed dinner to make him a full meal from scratch and had instead opted to leave his portion in a dimensional bag, complete with dessert.
Occasionally he would wake up and opt to have long conversations with the ancient powers, some nights he would even go out to roam the village in search of places that Super Rock recommended.
Yes, the quiet, boring days were the best.
