Dream wanted to prove to Philza that he was good enough for the gifts given to him. He needed to prove to Philza that he was worth enough so he’d know all this effort wasn’t wasted. A gift made from his hands didn’t take time from the kingdom. He wasn’t a king. But he had meant it all the same.
