"Something that will make James stop looking at him like that, like he means what he says. Kendall’s never felt like a miracle. Mostly he feels confused, a lot of the time. Whenever he manages to figure something out, he takes it as a small victory and moves on to the next problem, but he hasn’t been able to figure James out yet."

It doesn't make me happy how much I cried over this 😩, but it does make me happy how well handled the canon and characterizations are here, Somehow that it's an alternate/multiverse version still respects the canon very well, what an intriguing story

One of the first BTR fics I'd ever read. Cassie takes on the unaired pilot and turns the BTR universe into an alternate, Narnia-like timeline, where all the boys are tweaked just a little bit different. Kendall falls for this alternate James, who's a little quieter, less flamboyent, and so much more wanting than his own James. Angst.
