    Illustration for an upcoming story I'm working on based in an alternate, fantasy, universe. Rodney McKay is a priest in a religion that worships the Sun, using rituals that involve lots of sex. He is based in the beautiful temple of Atlantis, on the Isle of Pegasus, but is invited to take up a position at another temple. Whilst traveling to the other temple, Rodney suffers a series of mishaps that leave him alone and vulnerable. He meets staunch atheist, John Sheppard and agnostic Teyla Emmagan, Rodney hires them as his guides and protectors so that he can continue his journey. Rodney and John start to become very close, but due to his strict religious vows, Rodney is forbidden from forming romantic relationships with people.
