Mikey feels like he's on top of the world right now.
He's in a public park, up above the surface, and he's holding hands with a cute boy he's harbored a small crush on for forever. He's on his first date with said cute boy and they're stargazing and talking about the things they want to do with their life. Just a short while ago, he had his first kiss.
This is all so... normal. And by normal, Mikey means perfect.
This is the kind of thing that Mikey's craved for ages. He wants to be exactly what he is in this moment- a teenager, holding hands with his boyfriend (maybe it's a little soon to use that word?), looking up at the sky and talking about potential future dates.
And he likes Mondo so freaking much. He's had a little crush on him for ages, because come on - singer in one of his favorite bands?? Cute boy his age?? Someone who loved his art??
Now that he's actually gotten to talk to Mondo and managed to secure a second date (and maybe a third), that little crush has grown into a huge crush. He wants to say it out loud, feels his mouth forming the words, and bites them back because it'd be a little silly. He and Mondo have already kissed. They're on a date. Of course Mikey has a crush on him.
He's on a date with a cute boy who gets him, who finds him rad and a total cutie and not a freak. Not anything to run from.
If this is the kind of relationship he'll have, Mikey's kind of looking forward to having a boyfriend.
