Ash wasn't a normal boy, they weren't a boy at all. But all her companions thought she was, just because she preferred pants to skirts, and battles to contests. The time 'he' had to 'pretend' to be a 'girl'. Honestly all she had to do was drop the fake voice she had been using for all the regions. The last place she was in, Alola, was the most stressful, because it was near water, and they had trips were she was needing to use a swimsuit, but a one-piece went unnoticed by the kids.
She had recently turned 18, an adult in every region, bar Unova. But for once she was staying in mostly one place. Kanto, Vermillion city, so close to home. She was a live in researcher for Professor Cerise, Who had no idea on their gender.
She had met another person, Goh how was riding the Lugia from that morning with him. He was currently living in the same room as Goh.
Ash had briefly met a girl on the steps to the lab, who was revealed to be the professor's Daughter, Chloe.
Chloe had seemed nice, but uncomfortable when Ash exclaimed their relationship with Ray (Professor Cerise), so Ash never said anything else about it, which apparently surprised her.
Ash had been to 8 regions, met about 20 professors and seen every legendary and mythical Pokémon known to Arceus. She was never given a break other than when she was fully dead, but then shortly revived.
She decided to take a break for a while and be a 'normal' kid. Of course that immediately stopped being an option once Lugia appeared. But she wasn't angry, Lugia is one of the only legendries that hasn't screwed with her, that much. She has a list, and Arceus is at the bottom of that list.
The birds are the highest, and the Dogs to. Ho-Oh is one of the higher ones considering she hasn't even met him.
She walked into the kitchen one morning when Goh had left because...
"To day is the day I find Mew, See you later Ash!!!"
So she had the lab to herself because the professors were doing a speech at Chloe's school. Speaking of Chloe...
"Why are you still here?"
"Good Morning to you to Ash."
Apparently due to Chloe living with the Professor she didn't need to be their for that speech because that would have been a normal day for her, so the teachers said she could stay home.
"Well if we're the only ones here, maybe we could get to know one another a bit better." Chloe stated.
"I could go first, my favourite colour is Pink."
"... I'm a girl?"
"ASH WHAT THE FU-!"
