With two steaming cups of cocoa in hand, Toshinori walked into the living room of his apartment.
He felt a gentle smile form on his face when he looked at the head of fluff that just barely poked over the top of the couch.
Not wanting to disturb his boy, he quietly tiptoed across the carpet and around the couch to get a better look only to freeze when he saw what the boy was wearing.
The sweater was so large that it could have passed for a dress, with the neck hole sliding past his shoulder while his legs completely fit into it.
His boy looked completely relaxed in his sleep, his breathing was even save for a few quiet snores.
His eyes were still as his head tilted to the side slightly.
Toshinori hated to interrupt his boy, but he also wanted to see the smile on his face when he received the cocoa.
Careful with his movement, he went and sat down next to his boy.
His weight caused the couch to dip slightly, enough to get Izuku to stir slightly.
“Comfy?” He asked.
Izuku brought a hand up to his eyes, rubbing them slightly as he looked up and gave a small smile.
His hands, which barely poked out of the sleeves of the sweater, reached up to pull the collar closer to his face.
Toshinori didn’t say anything further as he held the mug out to his boy, his chest growing warm when he saw the biggest smile yet.
“I thought you would like to try some cocoa,” he said, bringing his own mug to his lips.
While the warmth of his drink felt nice, it could not hold a candle to the sight of his boy showing any semblance of pure joy and happiness.
“It’s super sweet,” his boy said after taking a sip, looking up at Toshinori with those wide green eyes. “And warm.”
“Warm milk with melted chocolate will do that for you,” he said, already bringing a hand up to lightly ruffle those fluffy curls. “I also see you decided to pillage my laundry,” Toshinori commented with a smile as he pointed at the oversized sweater.
Izuku flinched slightly, a look of shame flashing across his face slightly as he looked down.
“Though that sweater suits you better than me,” he quickly added. “I actually forgot I even owned that sweater, so why don’t you keep it?” He offered.
His boy looked up.
“Do you really mean it?” He asked.
With a large grin, Toshinori took another sip of his cocoa.
“Of course, you do deserve nice things my boy,” he said as he reached over to give Izuku a gentle hug.
For a moment he stopped, wondering if this was the right course of action, only to chuckle lightly when his boy leaned into the side hug.
After another sip of the cocoa, Izuku moved a little closer until his head was pressed against Toshinori’s chest.
“Thank you,” he finally said after a few moments, the cup clutched tightly in his hands.
“Of course my boy, anything for you,” he whispered as he planted a gentle kiss on the top of his boy’s head.
He didn’t mind that Izuku had started to slowly fall asleep once again, this time on top of him.
Though he was careful to remove the mug and set it down so none of the contents would spill.
Even if the cocoa would likely grow cold and have to go to waste, he didn’t mind because it did bring joy to his boy.
He felt his own eyes start to droop close, his hands gently holding his boy as he slowly allowed for sleep to take hold of him.
Enough to ignore the muted television that showed yet another one of All for One’s “Heroic” feats.
What a joke.
Perhaps when they fight again, All Smite can finally put that murderer in his place.
But that can wait a while longer.
Because he would rather spend time with his boy than give that false Hero a spare thought.
“Sweet dreams, Izuku,” he whispered as sleep finally claimed him.
